Maruki — Restaurant in Yomitan

While the food here is undeniably delicious and packed with flavor, the overall dining experience left a lot to be desired.

First, be aware that it's not a cheap spot—they require each person to order at least one drink, even if you're already ordering food. Even a small water costs ¥300.

The restaurant itself appears to be a small converted home with very limited seating. We arrived just minutes after opening and were told the only available seating was outside, which turned out to be hot and uncomfortable. What made it frustrating was that there was an indoor table open the entire time we were there. Staff claimed it was reserved, but no one ever showed up—something that could’ve made our visit far more pleasant.

If the service and seating arrangements had matched the quality of the food, this would easily be a place...

Been here twice now and the food never disappoints. We tried 4 different types of pizza and two different types of pasta. So delicious. Don't forget to try their broccoli appetizer, when they say it's the best, it really is. They are also very friendly and accommodating. We kept having restaurant after restaurant deny us on a Saturday night so we called them and they got us in right away. They have a parking lot but it can fill up quick, we ended up parking on the street like a lot of other customers and it was totally fine. So no need to worry about parking. A true gem in Okinawa. My husband and I both got a pizza and shared them and collectively agreed it might be the best pizza we’ve ever had. Fun drinks. Fantastic atmosphere. Relaxing and romantic date nights, but also a great intimate family place. A really great and magical experience, we added it to our list to go to again before we left from our vacation and got different pasta dishes the second time around, which were also fantastic.
