Bar Stir — Restaurant in Yufu

We dropped by Bar Stir on a saturday night after reading the reviews. Lovely bar, very welcoming and attentive staff (with great English) and delicious cocktails. The bar staff even called offered to call a taxi for us as we were closing out as he knew we needed to get back to our hotel outside of town and would have difficulty ordering one without knowing Japanese. Fantastic place to chat about cocktails and chill

They were exceptionally welcoming, taking our reservation via Facebook. Also, they were very accommodating to my daughter and elderly mom, making them bespoke cocktails according to their requirements.

So good we were there for both the nights we stayed in yufuin.

Bonus, as there are not that many eating places at night, they recommended a restaurant to us when we were chatting about it, and even went out of the way to help us make a reservation.

The bartender is a remarkable person, and the fact that this bar even exists (particularly in rural Kyushu) is a celebration of humanity.
