SUSHI51 — Restaurant in Zama

I went for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't busy. The staff are friendly. The menu is in English with pictures and descriptions. I ordered takeout. It was prepared quickly. I tried three rolls; the super california, the dolce, and the seared salmon. The super california was good, reminded me of American sushi. The seared salmon used thick pieces of salmon that gave it girth. The sauce for it was also a really good fit. I think I liked the seared salmon roll the best. The dolce used melty cheese alongside cream cheese? It would be better without melty cheese and a little less eel sauce. A good place if you want to eat American style...

This sushi is so so so good!! Also recommend the octopus balls! We would have eaten more if we could have but we ordered so much. The restaurant itself was really cozy and played some chill reggae music. Plenty of parking behind the building by Japanese standards and also validation available if you can’t snag one of the few dedicated sushi 51 spots. As much as we love the simplicity of sashimi here in japan, we definitely missed the excessive American style sushi and this captures it perfectly!!...

Their roll, miso soup, and garlic edamame met my expectations-- seriously, I missed American sushi, especially rolls :D

I remember that American style sushi made me upset at first when I was in the States, but overall, I love creativities and unique idea!
