Beach Muffin — Restaurant in Zushi

Amazing place. I tried their veggie burger and red chili & rice and both were delicious. Burger has a great texture and taste, with a good mix of vegetables, great bread and really good fries on the side (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside). Red chili & rice consists on simmered vegetables and beans on brown rice, with some crisps, and it’s delicious too. I had their dark cherry soda, really refreshing and tasty (you can make it sweeter with a syrup). I also bought two muffins, banana and fig flavored, and they were really good. It was a total of ¥3,800 (for two people), so it’s pretty affordable. The place looks like an old house reconverted into a restaurant. It has beautiful vintage vibes. AMBIANCE: 4.0. Rustic Japan "chic". Traditional low-slung old building, perhaps was a residence. Plenty of dark wood beams; furnished with comfortable well-used chairs/tables/sofas in various styles, sited in the various corners and cubbies. Ceiling is low in spots, so watch your head! A woman was selling small home-made loaves of dark bread of various types just inside the restaurant section; we bought one and look forward to trying it.

There's an English menu and the staff can speak English also. Great friendly service. The vibe is relaxing in a intimate dinning area and with reggae and blues playing in the background. A blanket is available for chilly days. I had the burrito that comes with Chips and Salsa. The burrito wrap was crisp. The chips were fresh and the salsa was a nice added touch. I also had a caramel biscotti stick. Awesome food! For a drink I had the honey and ginger drink. Nicely made. I can taste the honey and ginger equally. They also sale grains and herbs by the weight.
