Came to this restaurant as it had excellent reviews. A few reviews did say it wasn't good however myself and my work colleague found it absolutely brilliant. Service was spot on, fast and no hassle, pressure etc.. the food I opted for the chicken vindaloo, I asked for no coriander and this was catered for. I also asked for a keema naan topped with garlic & cheese as I saw someone's photo of a garlic & cheese naan but I also fancied the keema meat and they catered to my request and it was brilliant. So delicious the flavours just popped in your mouth. Absolutely brilliant experience and was a reasonable price. The food was better than a curry house back home in Oldham which I love. Will be returning before heading off the island next week for another meal.

Read moreI don't review in general but felt I should, I ordered a chefs special chicken curry, with boiled rice, plain nann as a takeout, had a pint of lager whilst waiting, the bill was £22.80 all in I was expecting a good curry for that money, boy was I wrong, the main 'curry' dish was swimming in ghee, after draining that off, pretty much put me off to start, the chicken was pre cooked slices added to a pretty bland ensemble of sliced beans and potatoes in a stodgy sauce, the flavour was pretty non existent to be honest, rice tasted like it had been microwaved, quite possibly one of the worst Indian meals I have ever had, just don't bother wasting your money here, I did find a good Chinese up the road ''kowloon' much better value tasty food, give this one a wide birth, you have...
Read moreIndian Ocean was a fantastic find for us on holiday. We were staying in the Apollo Hotel which is a minute round the corner. The restaurant is nicely set out and the menu is expansive in its choice of dishes. There is every sauce imaginable and you can choose whether to have fish, meat or vegetable. Rice is sold separately - the mushroom rice and basmati rice were both very tasty additions to the main curry dishes. We tried standard curry, Korma and tikka. As for sides we had onion bhajis and samosas (you get 2 on a starter so we shared). The staff were very friendly. There seemed to be a small bar if you wanted an alcoholic beverage. Starter, main and side was approx. £20-25 per person. Other diners seemed to be locals. They also...
