A Seafood Feast at Ocean Fresh - Amman

I recently visited Ocean Fresh on Al Madena Al Monawarrah Street, Amman, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere with a clean and elegant setup, and the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our waiter, Sam, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was flawless from start to finish. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations really enhanced our dining experience.

For our meal, we started with a variety of appetizers. The hummus was creamy, smooth, and had the perfect balance of flavors, paired with fresh bread. The seafood salad was refreshing, filled with perfectly cooked shrimp, mussels, and other fresh seafood, creating a vibrant medley of flavors.

The star of the meal, however, was the grilled Gilt-head bream. It was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and with a smoky char that enhanced the freshness of the fish. The fried shrimp were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. We also ordered mussels, which were fresh and full of flavor, cooked to a delightful tenderness.

The seafood soup was a comforting, hearty dish, rich in taste and filled with a generous amount of seafood. Every spoonful was a perfect blend of sea flavors that warmed the soul.

For drinks, I chose the fresh pineapple with kiwi juice, which was refreshing and complemented the meal excellently with its sweet and tangy flavor.

To top it off, we were served Turkish coffee along with a free Muhallebi dessert as a token of hospitality, which added an extra sweet touch to an already delightful meal. The Muhallebi was creamy and delicately sweet, a perfect way to finish off the meal.

For a relaxing touch, we enjoyed hookah in a comfortable setting, which extended our stay in the restaurant and gave us more time to enjoy the ambiance.

Special thanks to Sam for his exceptional service—he truly made us feel welcome and ensured our experience was memorable.

Overall, the service was excellent, the food was beyond fresh, and the hospitality was generous. Ocean Fresh is a gem for seafood lovers in Amman, and I will definitely be...

I recently dined at this seafood restaurant in Amman, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows.

On the positive side, the restaurant impressed with its spotlessly clean seating area and restrooms. The food, for the most part, was a delight. The "Ocean Special Salad" was a culinary masterpiece, and the fish and prawns were fresh and flavorful.

However, our meal took a disappointing turn when we found two hairs in our food. Though they promptly refunded the cost, it was a letdown. The waitstaff's demeanor was a major drawback. They were rude and displayed aggressive behavior, which marred the overall experience.

What left a lasting negative impression was witnessing a waiter clean his teeth at our table and then dispose of the tissue in the plate he was picking up. This not only compromised hygiene but made us feel uncomfortable and sick.

Lastly, the pricing was on the higher side. For two people and three dishes, we ended up paying nearly $200, which felt exorbitant given the overall experience.

In conclusion, while I enjoyed the food, the service and hygiene concerns were significant drawbacks. It's unfortunate that such issues overshadowed what could have been an outstanding dining experience. Regrettably, I won't be returning.

I was preoccupied with food that I couldn't take proper pictures. But I can describe the food with words. I started with the soup. It was delicious, creamy with a variety of fish, calamar, and shrimp. Great choice. As for the entrée, we had a variety of arab salads: fatoush, tabouleh. In addition, we had some hummus and mtabal/baba ghanoush. They were perfect. My favorite was the hummus. I ordered the shrimp Ceaser salad. Ceasars salads are usually dull. This one was very tasty. I really enjoyed it. I ordered the fish filet cooked with herbs and mushroom. It was a delight. The fish size was decent, and the taste was remarkable. I was with other people that ordered "mixed grilled fish", grilled fish filet, etc., and they were satisfied. For the dessert, we had mhalabiyeh (مهلبية). The atmosphere was perfect. We sat in the terrasse. It was calm and there is enough space between table to feel confortable moving around and to feel that you are sitting relatively in a private setting. The service was of a high level. The waiters served with a smile, few words, and in a timely fashion. Highligh: we were served Arabic coffee in the beginning and the end...
