Be aware of Fake reviews !

Don't know where to start, it seems that the good reviews are either paid, friends , Family of the restaurant owners or not epicure at all !!

In details: hope the restaurant owners takes action to enhance such mistakes.

During reservation call nobody gave the option of the outdoor seating area.

This restaurant is not Family friendly as it has no Non smoking area !! And this was shocking as we have a 6 months and a four years old that should not be exposed to such environment.

We have requested to sit outside they told us it is fully booked, however some people came in the same time and did not like it inside so they moved them outside easily. While we finished our food and it was still empty outside.

Waiters are friendly especially Captain Omar he was such a dear one he served us well, and got our feedback pleasantly.

We ordered plenty of plates i will not mention the ok ones.

Halloumi sticks are tasteless and we could not eat them.

Caesar Salad with chicken is not edible at all . It was cheap lettuce and dried old cold chicken.

Quinoa Tabbouleh is dry , no dressing at all , nor salt.

Ezme Salad portion is very small.

Sofia ouze was cold along with cold rice.

Adana Kabab was very cold but tastes ok

Firin beyti Kabab were also cold. And tasteless.

Alinazik eggplant chop shish could not be eaten as it was very very very bad.

Iskender doner also it is cold and taste is not great ( meat and yogurt it should be with Garlic sauce )

Prices are not expensive if the food was ok...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Upon entering the restaurant i was greeted by a well-mannered gentleman and guided us to our table which we booked for ten people before but was not ready at the time

We ordered the breakfast deal and honestly there wasn't enough diversity in the dishes and the food portion was small.

That wasn't my biggest concern. The service was unorganised at all. There is no coordination between the waiters. Had to ask for tea cups several times from different waiters and then when the tea cups arrived , we whier half way through the meal. For some people tea should be served with the food directly. But i hadn't problem with that.

Also i have noticed alot of waiters circling around the tables just observing without checking if we have received what we have requested earlier. During my observation i think waiters depend on each other on fulfilling the customers requests which is non professional behaviour; because other waiters could get distracted with other request. As i counted there were around ten waiters and about nine occupied tables. In this case and in mtly professional opinion there should be one waiter assigned to each table . Therefore he will be responsible for his customer requirements directly. And he must be fully responsible for that table and thier customers

I would like to delver these concerns and comments to the manager whom he didn't guide the waiters well and weren't well trained

I had a wonderful experience at Sofia Turkish Restaurant overall!

The food is generally very good, offering a wide variety of authentic Turkish dishes. That said, the lamb is imported (Romanian), which doesn’t quite match the pricing in terms of quality. Also, prices have recently increased, which is something to keep in mind.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, although the music can get a bit too loud at times. Valet parking is available, but charging JOD 2 for it feels unnecessary.

Now to the best part—the people. The staff truly make this place shine. A huge thank you to Mr. Firas, Mr. Saif, Zaid, Bilal, Ramez, Abdulrahman, Mohammad, and the amazing shisha team. Special mention to Samer, the life of the restaurant and the man behind the legendary birthday “Ubaaa!” surprises. He’s hilarious, full of energy, and just knows how to make people smile—even if it means giving them a fun little scare! We all love him.

Also, heartfelt thanks to the wonderful ladies who were so kind and attentive throughout.

It’s worth noting that a few of the excellent waiters who used to work there have left recently—but the team still goes above and beyond to make every visit special.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Turkish cuisine with genuine hospitality and a fun,...
