POUNDER by Alee — Restaurant in Amman

I recently tried Pounder Burger and it definitely delivered on its promise of quality burgers. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right amount of buzz to make it feel lively without being overwhelming.

The menu has a good range of options, and I went for their Chicken, lettuce, and cheese burger. The bun was nicely toasted, the patty was flavorful and cooked well, and the toppings added a nice balance. While it wasn’t the most mind-blowing burger I’ve ever had, it was certainly satisfying and made with care.

The sides were a highlight for me—I’d recommend the sweet potato fries or coleslaw, which were fresh and well-seasoned. Yet i am a bit disappointed on the portion i got for the coleslaw. I also tried one of their shakes, and it was a great addition to the meal without being overly sweet.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the food came out promptly, which is always a plus. Overall, Pounder Burger is a solid choice for a casual meal or when you’re craving a well-made burger. I wouldn’t call it life-changing, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The food, though slightly overpriced, had highlights like the phenomenal chicken roux and superb chicken wings. Unfortunately, the meat burgers, including bacon, cheese, and mushroom, were disappointing—some slightly burned and lacking flavor. On a positive note, the crispy and perfectly salted potato fries stood out as the best in Amman. The small restaurant with minimal decoration, coupled with an unfavorable price-to-portion ratio, led to a 3-star rating. If based solely on the excellent chicken roux, it would have been a 5-star review despite the overpricing. Additionally, despite watching them prepare it and a short drive home, 2 out of the 4 sandwiches were cold, while the other 2 were lukewarm.

Alee you are fond of your food but you need to look after pounder. This is not the first time I order and encounter basic mistakes. Every time your team messes up basic order logistics and packaging. Orders are always 1. Incorrect or missing an item. 2. Wrapping is always greesy and unbearable to touch 3. Drinks are all coke !!!!! 4. What about labelling ??? Do we still need to unwrap and open sandwiches up to differentiate which is without sauce and which without onion. Finally your branch for past year or two always shouts a need for better quality control and...
