Abu Jbara is a popular Jordanian restaurant in Amman, and for good reason. The food is delicious and authentic, and the atmosphere is lively and bustling.
I visited Abu Jbara on a Friday morning, and I was astonished by the crowds. There was a line for takeaways that extended to outside the restaurant, turning around the block! The dine-in line was luckily shorter, but it still took me a while to get a table.
The food hall was full, and I came to know later that Abu Jbara actually has three floors, all of which were filled with customers. Most of the customers were Jordanian families, which is a testament to the restaurant's authenticity.
I ordered the hummus, foul, falafel, and tea. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait.
The hummus was among the best I have ever had. It was creamy, smooth, and flavorful. The foul was also very good, and the falafel was fluffy from the inside and crunchy from the outside.
The bread was served fresh and hot from the oven, and it was the perfect accompaniment to the hummus and foul.
My overall experience at Abu Jbara was excellent. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff was friendly and efficient.
However, I do need to highlight that the prices at Abu Jbara are quite high. The cup of tea that I ordered cost 1.500 dinars! This is more than I would expect to pay for a cup of tea at a restaurant in Jordan.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Abu Jbara to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Jordanian dining experience. Just be prepared to pay a bit more for...
