Lovely friendly people and excellent delicious food! I was in the mood for Galaya but didnt want to eat beef they accomodated me smoothly into a "Zawani"- utterly delectable! My traveling pal had the Mansaf and it too was utterly fabulous. The added touch of a smidge of fresh virgin olive oil took both dishes to a smoother taste than the sometimes extreme tang, that Mansaf is generally know for. The Zawani salad was delicious with the added cheese and olives. Piping hot fresh bread - utterly divine! Mint "Nana" tea, and " Herrissa" cake- similar to Egyptian Basbousa - made a solid, homecooked dinner beyond out of this world. A must try.

We wanted to come here for dinner after seeing some of the excellent reviews this restaurant has received and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Our waiter Mohammed was immediately very welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived. He helped explain the menu to us and the differences between the various dishes so we felt in very capable hands! The quality of the food was fantastic as well, great portion sizes and everything cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the chicken Mandi, it was superb! All washed down with complimentary mint tea and an extra portion of deliciously sweet Warbat! Easily our best meal in Jordan yet!

This place is clearly made for tourists, and the food as well. It is good, but we’ve tried the same dishes in the other parts of Jordan and there it was totally different (and much more delicious). But this is the issue with most of restaurants near Petra. Lamb kebab was actually very nice, but the portion was small. Lemon mint pineapple cocktail was great. Kunafa was ok, but, again touristic

Am ersten Abend in Petra liefen wir blind los und hatten richtig großen Appetit der gestillt werden sollte. Wir wurden gleich vom zweiten Restaurant ( von Petra sella hotel aus) geködert es doch per Ihnen mit Pizza, Pasta, Burger und arabischer Küche zu versuchen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht und es wurde unser Stammrestaurant für die nächsten 3 Tage Petra. Es lag auch viel an der Freundlichen Bedienung Mohammed ( siehe Foto) welcher sich wirklich ein Bein ausriss um uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das Essen war bzw ist wirklich wunderbar und hat uns jeden Abend sehr geschmeckt. Wir bekamen auch jeden Abend eine Vorspeise aufs Haus was für uns sehr besonders war da wir uns so durch die ganze Karte essen konnten. Mohammed war bzw ist ein sehr angenehmer und aufmerksamer Mann der stets bemüht war uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen. Normalerweise darf man in Jordanien keine Shisha mehr im Restaurant rauchen, der Außenbereich und Mohammed machten es trotzdem möglich. Wir werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen weil so viel Gastfreundschaft selten und besonders ist. ❤️ Danke für die Schöne Zeit und das leckere Essen.

We hit a cold spell when we visited but they gave us coats and moved the heaters closer to us to warm us up which was nice. Good menu I had the lamb Gallaya which was very nice. Thick tomato based sauce and plenty of meat. My husband had the Musakhan which had lots of tasty onions. Complimentary tea and a hot coconut dessert was a lovely touch. Friendly service.

One of the best examples of Arab hospitality that you can find in Jordan. The people over there were extremely good in their work and the service was top notch!! I can't recommend this place enough. The food is not only tasty but comes with a huge serving quantity and you would need to share it with others. Absolutely a restaurant in Petra that is a must visit!!
