The best café I’ve ever visited in Nairobi
Interior Just look at how beautiful, bright, and simple it is inside. The interior is perfect! There’s plenty of warm light and a minimal amount of ornate decorations. Real grass grows in the planters along the perimeter, not plastic imitation.
Kitchen The kitchen is partially open — they have nothing to hide! It’s spacious, bright, clean, with an excellent ventilation system. It’s a model to be emulated. All dishes are prepared quickly, I’d even say swiftly.
Waitstaff Everyone works at the highest level. Polite, courteous, not intrusive, they understand you the first time, speak excellent English, and are fast and precise. They approach you delicately to ask if everything is fine or if we need anything else. Exemplary work by professionals.
Food The food is delightful! Every dish is exactly as it should be. Portions are large; you won’t just enjoy delicious food, you’ll get full.
The vegetable cream soup is a real treat! The most common mistake with this type of soup is too much butter. Here, they avoid that mistake — the soup is perfectly balanced.
The burger is the ideal size, not too small that you don’t get enough, and not too big that it’s hard to bite into. The meat is cooked to a beautiful dark-pink color inside. The vegetables are fresh.
The mashed potatoes are soft and tasty, with perfect consistency, not too stiff but not runny either.
Even the simple rice with vegetables is well-prepared. You don’t just eat it, you savor it.
The desserts are good but could improve. We tried the volcano and the tiramisu. The desserts need a better balance of flavors; they shouldn’t be just sweet. Next time, I plan to try other desserts.
Prices The prices are fair. They allow some room for tipping. I hope the entire team shares tips, including the kitchen staff.
We were very satisfied and will definitely come back many times. A...
Read moreFor one, this is a beautiful place and I must say I was surprised to see it located at a hospital. Either way, I walked in and immediately fell in love with the ambience.
One of the waiters, Ken K was quick to notice I hadn't been served a menu yet but I was busy with photo taking for this review of course. The prices are fair and I chose to have the chicken schnitzel and pineapple slushy. It's great that you're also informed on which combos don't go so well together. Also, the menu is nicely diverse.
I waited for some time not so sure how long and it was worth the wait. My food arrived well cooked, hot and ready to be devoured. You'll find my photos on their page. I think I should try the evening just to see the lights do their magic.
It was a solo date so I liked the music in the background and it wasn't too full and not noisy. I could spend a fair deal there. Due to a large number of orders by the time I was done eating, I did wait for a bit to get my order but all in all, I'm definitely coming back.

Read moreWe had stopped by for lunch. We enjoyed the wellness daily slushies, the signature buttermilk pancakes for dessert and the peach lemonade. I would not recommend the Grilled RibEye Steak;the meat despite attempts of it being made seasoned was quite blunt and tasted quite processed. Raymond had taken our order and got the soup order wrong but that wasn't a problem as we also liked the pumpkin soup despite of ordering the soup of the day which was a green soup. Service from the other staff was also pleasant. However I was quite surprised that when I asked Raymond for some serviettes he told me that I was only to be given the ones that came with the food.🤔And went further to tell me that serviettes were not for wiping the table;of which I had to let him know that wasn't my intent.Which took me by surprise too as I did not expect to have to explain on what I needed serviettes for in a restaurant that I was having a meal at. Kindly check on customer service and relations and policies that are not practical to...
