Artcaffé. Where do I start? It's conveniently located at Rubis' Gas Station in Hurlingham, an upper class area. Upon entering the sparkling clean Café, we were met with numerous smiles & warm welcomes from the glowing staff.
We checked out their amazing display of various pastries, then proceeded upstairs. We found a nice table overlooking the busy gas station. The windows are large and open, a plus. They have numerous power outlets incase you need to work. Their Wi-Fi requires an E-mail to Sign Up & Log In to.
Their Menu is very extensive & bright. They have various options that suite everyone. Whether you want Halal options or regular options, this is the place for you.
Our server, a well kept man, was very kind. I didn't get his name but, I sure will when I get back. He was just amazing. Shout out to him.
I had a Capuccino & an Almond Croissant. They were both very fresh & delicious.
My partner ordered fries & African Tea. Their fries were fresh & piping hot. They provide brown sugar, white sugar etc.
They are very attentive & clean. I highly recommend their Almond Croissant. We stayed for about 120 minutes & we didn't even realize it.
I would love to visit again some time soon when I'm in Nairobi.
Again, our server, amazing service. (He's fit, about 5"5 or 5"6, great smile & has broad shoulders. Very kind & deserves a raise.)
Thank you to every single personnel who does their part to ensure that clients enjoy...
Read moreThe first plus of this establishment is that it is easily accessible and set with the Rubis petrol station. The ambience is very inviting and it feels like home when you are here. The sitting space is located upstairs giving a rooftop feel and having an aerial view of the surroundings. When I visited the place, there were no crowds which was a plus for me. I went there for lunch with some friends and we found good sitting space. The staff are very friendly and fast in offering service. They are knowledgeable of their offerings so as a customer you get good advice on the meals you are ordering. The food was very fresh, tasty and good portions. I opted to try the salmon fillet with vegetables accompanied with French fries and I must confess that the meal was excellent. I also sampled the carrot cake milkshake and it was really nice. There was also very good music playing in the background which was easy and not disruptive for clients. And yes, they still observed the MoH covid-19 protocols. Overall, this was an excellent venue and I enjoyed every moment there. I will definitely visit again and I highly recommend the...
Read moreOrdered a savoury item from the breakfast menu which ended up being french toast with bacon and green vegetables, as well as a bottle of orange juice. Food was all nasty 🤢 The bacon was burnt, dry and tasted strange, the French toast was very eggy and inedible. The vegetables were disgusting. I ordered takeaway and I could barely eat half the order. The orange juice was the only thing that was okay. Why did the Artcaffé menu change? You used to have pancakes, waffles, potatoes and good french toast as breakfast options. Those are continental breakfast options which are standard for cafés. Now all that's available is quiches and cheese dishes, which is fine, but that isn't everyone's cup of tea. Please have several meal options to cater to different tastes and diets. Also, the restaurant was hot and uncomfortable. Was there no air conditioning? Please address these issues if you care about...
