Located in the heart of Nairobi within the Warwick Centre, Gigiri, the Orchid Lounge and Grill is a distinguished dining establishment that offers an elegant ambiance and exceptional culinary offerings. I recently visited this venue to watch the 2024 UEFA Champions League final, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
The atmosphere of Orchid Lounge and Grill creates a welcoming and relaxing environment. The interior blends modern elegance with subtle traditional touches, providing comfort and privacy for diners. On the night of the Champions League final, the large viewing screens placed strategically across the premises ensured that every guest had a clear view of the match, enhancing the overall experience.
The menu features a diverse range of dishes, from expertly grilled meats to delightful vegetarian options. On this occasion, I ordered pork ribs with fries and samosas. The food was delectable, with the ribs being particularly tender and flavorful. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive, courteous, and efficient, adding to the positive experience.
There was an entrance fee of 1,000 Shillings for the event, but a coupon was provided that offered an exact discount of 1,000 Shillings on any amount spent over the initial fee, making it a great value.
Towards the end of the evening, a live performance added to the vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere, making the night even more memorable.
The combination of exquisite food, impeccable service, and a charming ambiance makes Orchid Lounge and Grill a top choice in Nairobi's culinary scene. This establishment is highly recommended for anyone looking to have an eventful night out in Nairobi. Whether for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a special event, Orchid Lounge and Grill delivers an exceptional...
Β Β Β Read moreI went to the Orchid last Saturday. It was a big day for rugby matches. There was a nice crowd there. I first asked for a cold Tusker and also the wi fi code as i am from Ireland and do not have local number. She didn't have code, but said someone would come and give to me. After about 10 mins i got 2 bottles of Tusker both warm. She said no cold available. I said ok,but why uncork and pour into glass. She just walked off. After waiting another 45 mins i again asked for wi fi code. She said supervisor not available to give. After some time i ordered a cheeseburger. 30 mins later i got a really poor bun burger, and without checking contents took a bite and said ooh thats not a cheese burger, thats a smoked baconburger without any beef. I complained again, and she said sorry and walked away. At this stage i was fuming, and when she came back i said i was not paying for it.Imagine my surprise when she informed me if I didn't pay it would be taken off her wages.I just gave up after that, and paid my bill. What a lousy way to...
Β Β Β Read moreThis is an excellent establishment. First of all is that it's easily accessible as it's along Ngong Rd. For those driving, there is good parking and security. The furnishings within the establishment is very tastefully done with a good view of your surroundings from the upper floor. Their staff are very friendly and fast in delivering service. Their menu is wide and the foods are tasty and well presented. We had the combo that had Buffalo wings, tender beef, choma sausages, kachumbari, roasted potatoes. If you love food that has chilli then this is a good meal to go for. By the way the combo can be shared by up to 3 pax. Finally their resident DJ had such awesome old school music playing through the evening which added to the fun of the visit. I would highly recommend this establishment for an easy hangout with friends.
PS: if you are a rugby lover you may be in luck to watch a game or too while enjoying your...
