“update” ((((((After I raised my concerns, Jason, a member of the restaurant, contacted me promptly and expressed genuine concern about my experience. He conducted an investigation with his team by the following day. The cooking process was being reviewed, the tea brand had been completely changed. Furthermore, Jason, upon learning it was our anniversary that night, personally arranged for a large, freshly baked Tiramisu with a heartfelt message wishing us a happy 8th anniversary. I truly appreciate and admire the way he handled the situation, and I'm grateful for his actions)))))) My experience at Piatte was absolutely dreadful, far beyond my worst expectations. We had decided to visit the restaurant for some Tiramisu and hot drinks to get into the festive spirit before choosing it for our family lunch on the second day of Eid. The reservation process was smooth, and the staff were initially welcoming. However, our experience took a turn for the worse right from the start. The welcome snack, crispy zucchini, had an awful smell, indicating that the oil used for cooking was either very old or had been reused multiple times. Despite this, we proceeded to order the Tiramisu and my husband ordered a Spanish latte. As a tea drinker, I opted for Jasmine tea, but to my surprise, the tea served was labeled as green tea. After bringing this to their attention, they corrected the mistake and replaced it with Kamilia tea. Having dined at numerous fine dining restaurants in Kuwait and abroad, I can confidently say that Piatte falls short in every aspect of the dining experience. The tea was served in a teapot with tea bags from a local supermarket, giving it a cheap and unpleasant taste. Additionally, the hot Spanish latte arrived cold, further adding to our disappointment. To top it off, my husband, a big fan of Tiramisu, found the cake to be very disappointing, especially considering it is one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Fortunately, we had already eaten elsewhere and were not inclined to order more, as the total bill amounted to 10.500 KD for a subpar experience. I strongly recommend that the restaurant provide their staff with proper training in customer service. The tea served like I‘m in local street food 😂. However, the manager Sara was nice to hear from me. Overall, I left Piatte feeling very disappointed and would advise others to avoid wasting their money there.

An unforgettable dining experience , high-end, royal vibe with food that felt like art on a plate. From the Tuna Tartare to the Wagyu Tagliata, every dish was exceptional. Service by Kanye and manager Bikash made the evening truly special. • Tuna Tartare (Signature Dish): Tuna sashimi with guacamole and yuzu dressing – fresh, delicate, and truly an amazing piece of art. • Seabass Ceviche: With ginger leche de tigre, jalapeño, and cilantro dressing – vibrant, zesty, and something I’ll definitely be coming back for. • Beef Tataki (Signature Dish): Lightly seared aged Black Angus striploin with basil oil and balsamic vinegar pearls – refined and bursting with flavor. • Tagliata Carbone (Signature Dish): Charcoal-grilled Wagyu A5 tenderloin with leek, parmesan cream, and basil oil – oh so tender and simply outstanding. • Lamb Saffron Risotto, Pizza Margherita, Tiramisu & Pistachio Ice Cream: Each one balanced, flavorful, and memorable in its own way. The decor had a high-end, royal vibe, and the whole atmosphere felt like I had traveled abroad just to dine in such a place. Stylish, calm, with music at the perfect level , it set the tone for an amazing evening. A heartfelt thank you to our waiter Kanye, who was attentive and full of great suggestions, and to manager Bikash, who personally checked in to make sure everything exceeded expectations. This restaurant is the definition of artful, high-end food. It won’t be long until I’m back again.

An update: thank you for calling and extending an invitation to change my experience. I do appreciate how you handled my review and thats a 5 stars reaction but I politely decline . Hopefully you would take it as criticism not an attack on your establishment. Kindest regards The star is only for the atmosphere. I was at piatti yesterday for dinner, i was greeted at the entrance and was happy with the ambiance BUT once i sat with my friends everything went downhill! The table set up was off and we had no napkins so i had to ask for them! Our waitress was so slow and lacking the least serving protocols for a fine dining restaurant. We received the starters then we were offered a warm towel which was weird ! And dont get me started on the food !! Beetroot and goat cheese salad was dull and smoosh like it was made a very long time ahead. Calamari was ok. Lobster tagliolini !! lobster was over cooked and the pasta was inedible. Piccata limone was also over cooked and the sauce was not proportionate to the chicken, it was drowning. Truffle pizza was ok but not for a fine dining. Over all experience was bad, never again.

Edit: I was contacted by the restaurant once they read my review. They apologized for the valet situation and invited us again for dinner. This time we were not disappointed at all. Everything flawless. From the service to the food. Them following up after our previous dinner just showes and verifies what I said before "service was amazing." I will definitely and happily go there again.

Original review:

Disappointing. Went there for my anniversary and was expecting something special. However, we got something subpar. The atmosphere and service were amazing, but the food was not. I went there expecting to spend a lot of money and I wasn't disappointed on that front.

I wouldn't recommend the valet. Just park anywhere for free or pay a small fee to park in the garage. I went to the valet desk but no one was there. So I honked my horn and one of the workers there opened the gate for me and waved me in, and showed me where to park. Then when I got down from my car he asked me for a 3KD valet fee. I told him what valet?! I got the car in, I parked it, and I still have the key. Anyhow, a place this fancy should have its valet service for free, and actually a valet service.

I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to go there and I won't be going...
