Al Shemam Restaurant — Restaurant in Qibla

It’s a good place to eat, especially for a large family. Prices are fair and reasonable. The fresh bread was so good. It’s looks like naan or tamees, but it’s so much lighter and better. I don’t normally eat fish, but we tried the sea bass, and it was very good. It’s was moist and cooked well. The meat kebab was cooked well and served hot, but for me it was average in taste. The 3 skewers are large, so it was good value for money. The hummus was acceptable, lacking seasoning. Fortunately there was salt and fresh lemon available to fix it. I liked the tabbouleh. It was covered in pomegranate seeds, which added a lot of flavor. For me, I preferred the plain saffron rice over the Bukhari rice, which was full of spices.

As you can see from pics by other reviewers, it’s a very casual and older place that is ready to serve a lot of people. High chair straps were all broken or not there.

The bathroom was clean, but definitely needs some work and to be updated. No baby...

Its is beautiful Grand size restaurant suitable for Big Family. If you are Grill Meat/chicken lover, then is one of the best place for you.. You can come along with your whole family for party event too.. The food is delicious and yummy. The service is quick. Staff are very friendly. The ample of space but sometimes even this space is not sufficient during weekends. You may find this place crowded on Thursday or Friday evening. It is located at prime location of Historic city of Kuwait. There is good parking space beside restaurant Bldg with reasonable price. Nice playing area for children in front of restaurant Bldg. Mutton kabab are my favorite.. Prices of dishes are bit high but worth its taste.. Highly...

It get used to be one of my favorite places. I'm really disappointed. If i have the option to post less than one star I will do it. The food now is bad not the same. I feel bad because this place get used to be the first restaurant to try when you come to visit. I love AlShemam but this location is the worst one. If you want go to different locations. Food is bad. Kabak is not the same. Humans looks like they got it from cans. Idk what happened to them. They got used to be a nice and good place. Thumps down. I'm sorry I'm really sad and disappointed with this location. The other ones are pretty good...
