Tonight we have visited Nizamat Restaurant for the first time, after having heard about it through the grape vine, as well as word of mouth reviews from friends.
Place was completely jam packed when we arrived and at full occupancy. There was a brief waiting period before a table cleared up and we were seated immediately. Honestly i tend to keep my expectations to a minimum when visiting any restaurant but little did I know-that we were about to be blown away by the dining experience completely!
Me and two other friends ordered a full tandoori chicken, two plates of butter chicken, butter naan as well as Hyderabad Dum biriyani. Upon placing the order-we were served a refreshing welcome drink followed by two heaping bowls of freshly cut salad and generous side of limes.
Subsequently the biriyani, butter chicken and naans were served piping hot and sizzling fresh out of the kitchen. The aromas and colours were phenomenal and all this was visually really appealing.
We were completely overwhelmed by the flavours and aromas of the fresh ingredients, spices and pleasantly surprised by how perfectly balanced each dish was. The butter chicken was delicately spiced and the taste of cashew was unmistakable. The chicken tikka was delicately spiced ad grilled to utter perfection and the chicken biriyani was succulent and fall apart tender as well. For dessert, we were served badam kheer(almond saffron milk dessert) which was phenomenal and absolutely delectable.
I can say with all honesty, that such mastery of dishes can't easily be had even amongst the most legendary Indian restaurants in Kuwait!
Hats off to the wonderful chefs and the wait staff for their excellent service, work ethic, attention to detail and hospitality. Hope this trend of excellence continues and we look forward to...
Read moreTasted Mutton Biryani last week here in Salmiya branch above LuLu as I am a big fan of Hyderabadi Biryani having tasted the biryanis of almost all famous biryani restaurants in Hyderabad like Alpha(Secunderabad), Bawarchi(RTC X Roads), Paradise(Secunderabad), Sohail(Malakpet), Green Bawarchi(Srinagar Colony), Hyderabad House(Many branches), Pista House(Shah Ali Banda), Nayab(Charminar), Shadaab(Madina Center) etc..., but this biryani I never felt like any near to hyderabadi as the rice was over cooked and it looked completely different from authentic Hyderabadi Biryani. I went to this restaurant to buy biryani with so much of expectations as I am a big fan of Hyderabadi Biryani but all my hopes were lost. Also the Haleem you are selling in box of Pista House, it is no match to original Pista House Haleem and also the Haleem did not look fresh but looked as if it was stored one(may be). I felt vey happy by seeing the menu and wanted to taste all items but after tasting Biryani and Haleem only I have decided not to taste any more dishes here. I don't know about Fahaheel branch but the taste of Biryani and Haleem in this Salmiya branch is not up to the expectations of authentic Hyderabadi cuisine. Sorry to say this but this is what I...
Read moreWent there for dinner this evening and was horrible experience. First of all their air-conditioning is very poor. When we told them they said" but the ac is on!" Like we were blind or something. We again repeated the same to another server and he said the same thing! The air-conditioning was actually blowing hot air making.all of us miserable.. food was overpriced and poor quality. They used stringy frozen chicken breast meat, beaten down and rolled up for the chicken kebabs. When we asked for less butter on the naans, they actually doubled it it till it was dripping off the Naan. Even the cold drinks were not cold, had to ask for more ice cubes and side of lemon slices to add to our mojitos. Other customers were also complaining about the food and service. The wait staff are not trained in giving good table service at all. Poor hygiene, oversized tables and heavy to move chairs made it cramped and unnecessarily overcrowded..Definitely not going...
