JOA (Al-Hamra) — Restaurant in Sharq

I recently visited Joa Restaurant in Hamara Mall with my family (a group of four). I wanted to place a simple special request for my nigiri to be torched (aburi style). At first, the staff told me they didn’t have a torch and offered an alternative option. However, while browsing the menu, I noticed a torch right there over the counter.

When I pointed this out and politely asked if they could just torch the nigiri, they refused again — saying I had to order only what was on the menu and they couldn’t accommodate even a small request.

This kind of blunt and inflexible service was disappointing, especially considering how minor the request was. Because of this, we decided to cancel our entire order and dine elsewhere.

It’s a shame because my wife actually likes this restaurant, but the poor attitude and lack of customer care completely ruined the experience. We left feeling frustrated and...

I love this place. My favorite salad bar in Kuwait. And i am a loyal customer. You will find me every thursday there , with some additional days in the week.

The food is amazing and it helps me keep my diet. I have 2 small comments:

1. we need more sauces for free. Be more generous with your customers

2. i need a loyalty...
