Came with some friends at the end of a long day's drive. Looked pretty promising as the restaurant was pretty full when we entered and prices were decent. I got the guiyu lagman which came quickly and was quite tasty - if that was my entire experience, I'd give this spot five starts. Chewy noodles, sauce was flavorful, good amount of meat and vegetables to balance the noodles. Not too expensive at 260 som (+ 15% tip).
Why I'm not giving it five stars: My friends ordered the combo skewer and veggie skewer. It took almost an hour to get that food, and when it came, there was only one skewer. All of the photos had two, and when they tried to talk to the server, he kept saying you only get one. They asked to talk to the manager, who said the same thing. We told both of them that they need to change the photo on their menu because it's misleading and essentially just lying - I don't care if maybe you're supposed to "just know" that you only get one skewer per order. A lot of tourists come to Karakol and this cannot be the first time this issue got raised?
In the end, the manager apologized for the late food - but not for the 1 skewer or misleading photo. My friends asked what shey'll do about it, and she took off 10% for the entire bill. Not quite the solution they wanted, but better than nothing and an...

We had an experience just few days back when we were taken to this place by our tour guide. We were given 1 hour for food. First of all, whatever we have pointed at wasn't available. Secondly after finally finding something to order, after 40 mins the waiter came to inform that the food we ordered is finished(. Ok. Gave a chance to the second food, in 20 mins disappointingly waiter again informed that it wasn't available. At the end, we couldnt get a chance to eat. Good thing is salad was served, which was ordered to have it with main food. Though it was decent. The question is, can a guest be informed about it earlier? Not to waste the limited time given for food.
After 3 days time we were taken again the the same cafe by our tour guide for a lunch. What do you think? 😄. Very similar story repeated. Also, they refused to serve the lemonade without ice🙄. How strange. As per them it's not allowed to serve the lemonade without ice. Hm...

About an hour prior to our reservation we received a text that we should come earlier, otherwise they could not guarantee our table. We immediately took a taxi to the restaurant, but upon arrival we were told by the host that our reservation was at 19h and that we had to wait until then to be seated. After some discussion with the host the manager - who it turned out we had been texting with - joined the conversation. He was reluctant to apologize for the inconvenience and only seated us after quite some arguing. Table service also wasn’t great.
