Kyries Kafe — Restaurant in Cleveland

I and my fellow classmates plus administrators at my school visit Kyrie’s café to support black owned businesses we just came from the history museum. We are part of African-American cultural organization. There were 9 students and 3 adults plus Counting our bus driver. We got there around 12:15 or 12:20 we waited 1hr 20 minutes for our food the restaurant looks nothing like the picture the toilets were dirty it smelled like nail polish and other smells I can’t describe. They told us that we pay before we eat. I’ve NEVER HEARD OF A RESTAURANT! who said we had to pay before we eat. I’ve been to black owned businesses before, and I never had to pay before I ate, we had to be at school at 2:40. We didn’t get our food until 2:20 our server look dirty everything just look like something you will see off of the boondocks of nasty Black people in and restaurant and I don’t like when us Black people are portrayed like that. It reminded me of uncle granddad of of the boondocks when he made a restaurant and people were sleeping in the beds while they were eating. My bus driver, Fries were cold so was my classmates fries one of my classmates ordered macaroni and cheese they didn’t take a picture after I asked them too so I can do this review but there was a piece of beard hair in his macaroni and the server asked for another macaroni and cheese to give to my classmate. Mind you nobody came out and said it’s gonna be a while until our food is ready. Soon as we got our food a man came out I assume that was the manager apologizing and trying to justify on how long it taking was taking for our y food to come by saying some “restaurants don’t host large groups.” My teacher had interrupted him and was just saying how unprofessional he was and it was other things she said to him that I can’t recall, my teacher asked for a refund, he said WE DONE DO REFUNDS!. I’ve never heard of a restaurant who said We don’t do refund, but she ended up getting her refund anyway my teacher also said that there were rat droppings and the manager said that they were renovating but that’s not an excuse for rat droppings to be in areas for people to see. I ordered chicken and waffles, macaroni and cheese and collard greens and orange Fanta they didn’t have strawberry cake that was on their menu nor did they have raspberry breast tea but that’s besides the point. I didn’t receive my collard greens and my macaroni tasted like seafood, which is unsanitary when you are cooking two different meals in the same pot or dipping your chicken in the same grease as you would dip seafood. After we left my classmate said her stomach was hurting when we got on the school bus and surely after she said that my stomach started hurting. This is really sad because we love to support black owned businesses because our school organization is built on supporting black on businesses, we are built on a system to keep us down, but how are we supposed to support a black owned, business when the this black own business is unprofessional and unsanitary. You just never know who may walk in and who can upgrade your business and they can change your life forever by expanding your business. Kyries Café please do better you have to keep things like this up to part, I understand things happen this is totally...

My experience was fantastic! The Greeter/Cashier/Hostess was amazing. Very personable and found me to be hilarious lol. Food was amazing...I have not had Kool-aid in about 8 years but I broke down and gave it a try. DELICIOUS for about 4 bucks. Also had a lid and comes in an actual container. I drove about 45 minutes with it on the car seat next to me, laying down, and not a single drop 🙃. I only gave the food 4 stars for ONE reason! I ordered the deviled eggs with bacon and I was expecting it to be a sliver of crispy bacon sort of stuck down into the top. Cool, but it was bacon crumbles AND the crumbles were fatty...so I found myself picking the fatty pieces out and then ultimately scraping them off. Next time I will not order a topping (also comes with shrimp topping option). But back to the good stuff! Personal t.v at each both AND you can log into your account for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Silverware came in a...pouch, I'll call it. Or sleeve rather, made of parchment or wax paper or something. VERY nice, especially for those of us leary of silverware when eating out. Nice, clean, and shiny! Charging outlets next to each stool at the bar, a chess table, and another game table (i forgot what they said the game was called but looked interesting). Also has a patio. I DEFINITELY will be back. Probably Saturday actually 🙂. This place? YES. I hope they stay open for a very long time. Do them a favor and keep them open by patronizing the actual store sometimes over DD, GH, UE, or whatever other food delivery...

We'd driven past this place so many times and kept meaning to try it. Well we finally did and were so pleased! The gentleman who took our order was so polite and answered all of our questions so we could decide what to order. The restaurant is really well decorated and comfortable. It makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. Lots of TVs and music playing. We ordered the rib dinner and wings, while we were waiting the gentleman made sure we were comfortable. The food was prepared very quickly by another friendly gentleman in the back. We felt really welcome in this establishment. And the menu is extensive.

The food was a flavor explosion! That's the only way I can describe it. Literally EVERYTHING was well seasoned, even the fries which I believe are fresh cut. I loved that. The ribs were very tender, the sauce balanced with the seasoning of the meat perfectly. The wings were also very tasty as was the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is different from any Mac and cheese that I have ever had, the flavor is distinct, almost a tiny bit sweet or maybe a little nutmeg, in not sure but we loved it. Whomever is cooking at this restaurant definitely knows what they are doing, they also have a great Instagram page. They beat part is that the food you get actually looks like what is on the page unlike some other places. Long story short, try this place, you won't be...
