Delta Coffee & Restaurant is hands-down one of the best places we found while traveling. If you’re a backpacker, digital nomad, or just someone who loves tasty local food without burning through your budget — this place is a gem.
The menu is way more diverse than it looks at first glance: from traditional rice dishes to Western-style options like burgers and pizza, noodles, soups, stir-fries, eggs, smoothies, and more. It’s got a little bit of everything, and it’s all made fresh.
Prices are incredibly reasonable — here are just a few examples to give you the idea: • Rice with meat / omelet / both – 30,000–45,000 kip • Burgers – 50,000–60,000 kip • Pizzas – 150,000–170,000 kip • Coffee and drinks – 30,000–50,000 kip
Most dishes are delicious, portions are fair, and the food feels both clean and home-cooked. We loved how many locals come here in the mornings — always a good sign. The vibe is simple but cozy, very chill, and relaxed.
The staff are super sweet and always smiling. English is very limited, but they’ll still do their best to help you out — it adds to the charm, honestly. Just point at what you want, and you’re good to go.
One small thing: some items may not be available every day, but don’t worry — whatever is available is worth trying.
Forget overpriced tourist cafés — Delta is the spot if you want real food, real prices, and real people. We kept coming back again and again.
Totally recommended for anyone traveling through the area. Best local eats...
Read moreWe came here after a good recommendation from the Lonely Planet guide book.
Unfortunately they didn't have nearly everything we wanted to order from the menu... No pizza, no macaroni cheese, no spinach and cheese bake...
We ended up going for the Spaghetti Marinana, I thought as a vegetarian I'd be safe with that, and the Stir Fried Cashew nuts but we asked for tofu instead as my partner doesn't eat meat either.
The spaghetti Mariana was a seafood pasta dish (?!?!) and the other came with chicken. No where mentioned that the Marinana came with fish and where I come from its just a tomato based pasta sauce. When I asked they just didn't understand, so I just ate around the fish in my food and my partner ended up eating onions and Peppers for 60,000k.
There are no where near enough vegetarian options and the ones that seem vegetarian have squid tenticles on...?
The staff were lovely but understood absolutely nothing of what we were saying so it was all pretty pointless. Whag I did eat was very tasty, but if you're strict vegetarian then this is NOT the...
Read moreMe and my husband go to this place regularly but our last visit was disappointing. I ordered a plate of food without spice and it came to my table with chillies in it. I had to send it back. I also ordered a small omelette and I got a big one instead. I didn't send it back because I felt sorry for the staff but was disappointed I was charged for a big one with no apologies. The worst was when my husband's beef steak was rubbery and cold. He couldn't eat it and he thought letting it sit there would send a message across. Unfortunately the staff didn't care to ask if there was something wrong with it. It's weird how in Laos we are discouraged from complaining in restaurants hence this strong review. I'm thoroughly disappointed how because of incompetent staff our...
