This was pretty good as far as Korean food (outside of Korea) goes. The prices were fair. Certainly not a bargain but not a rip-off either.
I had the kimchi jjigae which was good, though not as spicy as I had when I lived in Korea. It is obvious by my appearance and accent that I'm a Westerner, so likely they assumed I didn't like spicy food, which is understandable. The soup was however excessively hot in temperature for some reason.
I also had the gimbap, which was also pretty good compared to the stuff you'll find outside of Korea.
I'd probably go back there again to eat if I were in Pakse again and had an urge...
ย ย ย Read moreWe ate here for two nights straight. This restaurant is owned by a Korean. We had the rappoki (fried rice cake and noodles in mild spicy sauce) and jjampong (seafood spicy noodles) for the first night. Jjampong was good, rapokki was a little watered down, needed a little bit more of the sauce.
We tried their samgyupsal (grilled meat) on the second night. It was very tasty and we had a wonderful meal. They also sell Korean alcohol - soju and it paired well with the grilled meat. Their ramyeon (instant noodles) was average.
Service is good. The staff are attentive and refills the side dishes even...
