This happened to me on September 5th, 2023 I ate at this restaurant before it moved to its new location. The owner before was a good man. The new owner is not so good. I ordered a yogurt dish that was not yogurt at all. I asked him why this was so sweet, and he repiled its sweet milk. If you don't have yogurt, tell the customer you don't have it, and you don't bring them sweet milk instead. And my curry dish wasn't real curry. They used red food coloring, I couldn't even wash the color off my hands. To finish this review, he thought I would complain and called a group of his Indian friends to watch me eat, so i would be afraid to complain about the poor food and service. The only good thing I ate from this new version of Jasmin Restaurant was the Nan bread, so basically they stole my money by giving me things I didn't order and brought his gang of friends to make me afraid...

This is the first negative review I've written, but this was genuinely the worst Indian resturant I've ever been to. There are many nicer restaurants in the area, I would suggest avoiding this one for the below reasons:

Food - The garlic Nan bread was awful, it tasted incredibly sweet, synthetic and sickening. The rogan Josh was also below expectations.

Service - This is where the resturant really let itself down. We ordered a fries, rice, nan and Curries. All of which arrived at different times, with the last piece of our meal arriving almost 40 minutes after the first. By the time my curry eventually arrived, the rice was cold.

Atmosphere - Lots of flies inside and out, which had to constantly be swatted away from food. We were the only people at the restaurant, which should have been enough for us to...

The food was absolutely appalling. I had the “Dahl Makhani” was wasn’t cooked (the kidney beans were hard). We also had the “butter chicken” which was made with Margarine and had a thick layer of oil on top.

I told the waitress that the food wasn’t cooked. I asked if I could have something else instead, they said yes so I “stuffed potato naan”. Which wasn’t stuffed at all, and had a few pieces of potato crushed on top of it.

We didn’t eat any of the above food mentioned. Went to pay to see that we had been charged for both my meal and its replacement.

To top it off, we waited 10 minutes for the card machine to work, to be told to go...

Surprise! I never expected a resturant serving Indian food in this remote part of the world. Anyways, to try I ordered Veg Samosa - which were quite good if you eat with green and red sauces. I went again for dinner and order vegetable biryani which was I awesome. Remember this review is coming from some who is Indian and have a very good understanding about Indian food. I can't vouch for other dishes as I didn't try. Indian food is always costly outside India, I was surprised that the price here for such quality, and generous quantity is very reasonable.
