I wanted to love this place - it has comfy seating, free WiFi and is a nice place to hang out, but it was really disappointing 😢 Don't let your eyes fool you, the baked goods look darn amazing, but are really plain tasting. I wanted to love this place so much, I went back three times 😅 My reviews : A sandwich: the bread was worse than the sandwich sellers have on the street, the fillings were comparable, price was 3 or 4 times as much as on the street (depending on where you go) Oreo cheese cake: looked amazing, but didn't taste like much, and was quite dry. I've never had a cheesecake like this one! It seems like there were lumps of cream cheese in a regular sponge... Really weird. I was so disappointed 😭 Peanut Butter ball: really moist and squishy, but pretty much tasteless Oreo chocolate cake: again, looked decadent af, but really didn't have any flavour Giant chocolate cookie: dry af, and tasteless. It was okay when dunked in milk... Cinnamon roll: this was surprisingly o.k... Not too sweet Croissant sandwich: croissant was too sweet (for a croissant and for a sandwich) Caramel peanut frappe: DELICIOUS. Probably the only thing I would reorder Laos coffee: adequate Wifi: adequate Service: not great, not horrible... Kinda just meh Prices: not worth it

Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but to be honest I'll probably go back because I want to try to find a baked good that they sell that I love... Maybe the choc croissant? It just doesn't make sense that a place called a bakery would only sell really lack lustre baked goods... I usually love cake and pastries...

Hate giving just a few stars, but this is the 2nd time I've visited the bakery (first time was in 2019) and both times the staff are not too friendly.

Later on, as I was leaving, one of the staff came to talk with me in a friendly and interested way, which was nice (maybe because I left a tip? Not sure. Maybe people don't often leave tips?)

The croissant was ok and the coffee was very nice.

There aren't many options in Vang Vieng that I can see and this place is such a good location.

Maybe they just get a lot of rude tourists and so, it's hard to be smiling and happy when that kind of thing happens. I don't know.

Was nice to talk with the girl though and she wished me good luck...

The food is ok but the service is awful... almost left before we got our food. Saying Hi! in their language with a big smile and no return, no eye contact, nothing! same at the end. You have to order by yourself if you want something, no table service whatsoever. Clearly, you feel like disturbing them every time.

The taste of the coffee is good but it's hugeeee! (Sometimes less is more) and sadly you waste it because it's just too much!. Also, even if you consume the coffee in their restaurant they serve it in a big big plastic cup (?) Such a waste of plastic. Save the planet plss !!! There's plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around with smiley people, don't waste your time or...

The portions here are absolutely insane. I think that's part of their schtick... I'd share one slice of cake with 2 or 3 other people and still feel like I had a lot. Their giant cookies are the size of a dinner plate! The juices are made fresh and taste great (if occasionally on the sweet side... perhaps it's possible to request no extra sugar?). The food is also pretty decent. All this plus a cozy ambience and a menu with both local and Western dishes makes this a good choice if you want to take a break from the street food in Vang Vieng and just chill out in a nice place. Tip: order one dessert and split it with friends.
