There are signs on both sides saying it is closed for construction but you can just cross it on a motorbike, I saw locals doing this a lot and nobody looked up. They are renewing the bridge and it looks so much beter than the photos! No wooden planks with holes and the metal plates you drive over a good too. Hopefully it ‘officially’ opens soon, but it looks like it won’t be accessible for buggy’s or cars...

So OK, the bridge is a mess, but this is Laos. This toll Bridge is officially closed, but locals and tourist alike walking or on bikes duck beneath the barriers to cross. Very safe to cross but when two bikes come both ways on the steel plates is a nightmare as they don't want to stop and the middle section is rotted, so you need eyes in the back...
