Food at this authentic Lebanese restaurant is amazing. Literally, all dishes taste great and are of high quality. Service at the restaurant is also high standard. Atmosphere is bad. There is no place decor. Tables are setup very close to one another, you can barely walk between tables. This makes the atmosphere very crowded and loud. Add to this that smoking shisha is allowed indoors, which makes it very inappropriate and very disturbing for non-smokers. Too bad. It would have been my favorite Lebanese restaurant only if the seating was organized better, smoking restricted to specific sections and the ambiance more enjoyable with background music rather than loud talking from neighboring tables.
As for pricing, it is in the high side. It is one of the most expensive Lebanese restaurants in Lebanon. I also find it weird that we had to pay for parking (even if we didn’t benefit from valet service!!) considering the parking lot it is part of the restaurant. Given the expensive prices, they could have waived the...
Read moreShocking and disappointing, the least I can describe according to my recent experience. I have been going to this place for many years since I was a kid. I used to love this place. However what happened yesterday was a complete mind blowing. The restaurant was empty (very unusual for a Sunday evening) and they completely ripped us off with prices. They charged us about US 150$ for 3 persons for a coupe of plates only and no alcohol except two glasses of Arak. This is way too expensive for Lebanon. Even when I compare to other cities like Dubai which is considered very expensive city, I pay in Dubai about half of this price for the same order. I understand that Lebanon and businesses are passing through a financial crisis and scams are happening everyday, however I couldn’t imagine that it can happen in a place like this. I will never come back to this place after what...

The area that needed the most improvement is the service. We have waited for 1 hour before receiving our first mezze plate. Waiting for 1 hour, we had been watching new clients receiving their mezze at least 20 minutes before us. When food has arrived, we received only one out of the dozens of mezze plates that we ordered. We received the remaining, one at a time, a plate every 5 minutes.
Also, a waiter dropped a plate next to our friends, the glass shattered in his shoes and luckily went uninjured. However, the staff seemed indifferent to this event.
I understand that restaurants might be overcrowded at times, but I would expect: 1- that a big restaurant such as this would have already experience in tackling rush hour 2- a minimum of service quality (that was unfortunately...
