Se — Restaurant in Mastita

We went for lunch after visiting this place a few times before. On previous visits, we had tried the seafood, which was good, so we decided to give the Lebanese menu a try. What a mistake that was.

We ordered the usual cold Lebanese mezze while waiting for the hot plates to arrive. Unfortunately, we never made it that far. The tabbouleh arrived looking tired, as if it had been prepared several hours earlier. And for anyone who eats tabbouleh regularly and has tried it at many restaurants, it was simply a shame to even call this “tabbouleh.”

The real disappointment, however, was the way the staff handled our feedback. When we mentioned the issue to the waitress, instead of apologizing or replacing the plate, she scooped out of our plate without asking and came back minutes later to tell us, “The chef says the tabbouleh is fine” , as if we were trying to trick them, or as if we didn’t know what we were tasting.

From there, things only got worse. The supervisor came over, supposedly to resolve the situation, but instead of listening or offering a solution, she began lecturing us about “respect” and insisting we had misunderstood everything. Even after we made it clear that we were upset and wanted to leave, she continued trying to “teach” us rather than taking any responsibility.

It’s such a shame to see a beautifully located place ruined by poor management, a chef who dismisses customer concerns, and staff who lack even the most basic sense of hospitality. Chloe was attentive, knowledgeable, and radiated warmth. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and her menu recommendations were spot-on — especially the seafood risotto!

Jennifer brought such a positive energy to the table, with genuine enthusiasm and care. She made us feel right at home, checked in just the right amount, and ensured every detail was perfect.

The food, ambiance, and setting were all top-notch — but it was Chloe and Jennifer’s outstanding hospitality that truly elevated our evening. It's rare to find servers who go above and beyond with such grace and professionalism.

Sarah is what made this experience perfect! The risotto was undercooked and the chops were super hard but we didn’t care because she was so helpful and smiling all the time. She was always ready to help, to assist and to recommend. I was really impressed by her and this is why I’m writing this review.
