I ve heard alot about the authenticity of onno as an armenian lebanese restaurant so went to try their badaro branch. First the ambiance of the street is very cozy and drags you out of the city feel to a more relaxed atmosphere. Back to onno i went with bunch of friends for an early dinner. The waiters are very welcoming, present, smiley and knowledgeable of the menu. We enjoyed our suggested plates: fatoush a very generous portion and toasted bread is available instead of fried;) the cheese seubereg comes light and grilled, the lentil bulgur kebbe comes in generous portion on bed of tomatoes and onions extremely tasty and the last thing we ordered was the spinach mante that comes covered with a delicious yogurt sauce and the pieces melt under ur teeth with the citrusy spinach filling ending your savory bite. And at the end we were offered biscuits w lokum and atayif ashta! My only comment is the bottle of water that comes as an obligation like most of lebanese restaurant i wish they stop that and leave the option for the customer. But i would definitely come back to taste other...

Onno is an excellent place to come for a taste of Armenia. I have been to other restaurants providing the same type of food, but I will say that I think Onno is the best, and I'll tell you why. I love the fact that Onno is not pretentious. It's a no frills restaurant that lets the food speak for itself, no need for expensive decor. Obviously, that is reflected in the price as you will end up with a very reasonable bill for a delicious experience. It is situated right in the heart of the trendy neighbourhood of Badaro, which boasts a plethora of bars and restaurants. However, if you are thinking of going at a normally busy time you would do well to book in advance to avoid disappointment. The good thing about being in Badaro is that after your meal you can wander along the main street and look for a bar to complete your evening; and there are many different styles of bar on offer. So, if you'd like to try some totally authentic Armenian food then I would point you in the...

I’ve been to Onno twice so far; first with my family on Sunday and second time with a group of friend after I recommended it The place is very cozy; the staff well informed and friendly. Even though the place was crowded, we were very comfortable and our order was ready fast.

Both times, the food was just amazing my favorites so far are The soubereg (cheese pastries) and fish manti (kebabs in cherry sauce); the cherry sauce was so good I dipped the grilled meat in it. You could feel the vegetables used in the salads (the fatoush) were freshly cut, making them crunchy and more enjoyable.

The dessert was complementary (!!!) maamoul ra7a w biscuit atayef ashta achtaliye

Honestly I only had one ra7a and biscuit because I was so full but my family and friends’ feedback on the rest of the deserts offered were very positive.

I will always...

I've been frequenting Onno since 2018. Whenever I visit Beirut, I eat here—its that simple. It is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I've been to in the world, and I'm fairly well travelled. The quality of the food is truly amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Despite the pandemic and Lebanon's economic and political collapse, Onno continues to provide top-notch food that never disappoints—the quality is exactly the same in 2021 as it was in 2018, if not better. And all of it is very fairly priced, even in the era of Lebanese hyperinflation. I'm not sure how they do it. My favorite items on their menu that I'm always sure to order are the manti and kibbeh nayyeh. I can't wait to order it again when I come back to Beirut in 2022.
