Man I’ve been to hotels, motels and inns, from The Breakers in palm beach to Motel 6 on my way to Toronto. NONE of these has had ANY of the issues I’ve encountered here. ||I paid 5 million LBP for one month. Here are the issues:||- no hot water unless you remind them about it ||- water pressure at the minimum which means you cannot take a decent shower or wash hair|| - wi fi does not work because they have 3 routers for each floor. If you’re in the bedroom, forget about it. Complain and they’ll remember they should install a repeater in your suite and even despite this, wifi is constantly down. Complain again and they’ll blame the internet company. ||- heating system won’t work if your neighbor has cool air on: there are three compressors for the whole floor ||- neighbor cooks daily every kind of dish and opens his door to ventilate, overwhelming the entire floor with odor. ||- freezer doesn’t freeze and they can’t fix it ||- gym non existent, don’t believe it when they tell you all equipment is inside already.|||| There is nothing luxurious about this place and you get none of what’s promised. They saw the issues with their own eyes including video of the water like a thread and they won’t admit or do a thing about it, let alone refund you so you can go elsewhere and endure less irritation. That was after Ali actually told me he would refund me 3Million. He’s so professional that 15 minutes later he realized he wanted to charge me the 410,000LBP « daily rate » for the 12 days I stayed there, which would mean he won’t actually refund anything for the remaining days. He lied about the current rate which shows they reduced their price by « 63% » according to booking.com.|||| You’ll live in far better conditions in your own home and with zero stress and discomfort. Once they take your money you’ll never see it again even if your room burns out. And to top it all, there is such a lack of accountability that Ali, the so called manager, left me the rudest voice message on WhatsApp after a dozen others to the point of harassment. Now I can see who they really are: thugs. You don’t abuse a guest’s phone number this way and you don’t unleash on them just because your « boss » Rihab told you that the hotel won’t refund Michele no matter her complaints. Shame on them, what a terrible image they reflect of...
Read moreStaying here for 20 days. Based on my first two weeks of experience, this hotel should be rated no more than 3 stars. The rooms are much smaller than they appear in the photos.
The first issue we encountered upon arrival was the weak water pressure it took at least seven minutes for the hot water to heat up, and even then, the pressure remained weak. We informed the reception, and they sent a technician, but he couldn’t fix it. Apparently, the reception already knew this room had this issue but refused to change our room until I insisted.
Secondly, the air conditioning doesn’t work neither hot nor cold.
The second room we moved to had no cups or mugs, despite having a kettle. I’ve been asking for a cup for three days, and they keep saying, “Tomorrow, housekeeping will bring them.” When I requested one from reception on the phone , it took them an hour and three follow-up calls to deliver it only for housekeeping to remove it the next day.
Breakfast is below average for a 4-star hotel.
The showers don’t have a door, so the entire bathroom gets wet, as it’s very small.
The Wi-Fi is extremely slow, so if you’re thinking of working here good luck!
Lastly, the door lock suddenly stopped working. Their solution? Either have staff open the door for us with a master key every time we need to enter or move rooms for the second time to a smaller room.
To make matters worse, the receptionist is rude, and even the simplest requests feel like a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel de Ville in Beirut, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and Lebanese hospitality.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The check-in process was smooth, and I was quickly escorted to my room. Rabab , the front desk manager followed up with us multiple times to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible.
The room itself was spacious & clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the amenities provided were top-notch. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the complimentary bottled water to the reliable WiFi and AC! The free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was fast and reliable, which made it easy to stay connected.
The hotel’s location is another major plus. Situated in a vibrant neighborhood, it is within walking distance of many popular attractions, shops, and restaurants. It is a +- 10 min drive to downtown… although it is in a busy neighborhood the hotel offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling streets of Beirut. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location make it an ideal choice for anyone visiting Beirut. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning...
