Wow! This place is incredible. It exceeded my expectations in all ways! Service: The whole place is self seating but FULL service! I came for the grand opening on a Thursday during lunch rush and all of the staff were wonderful like they have been training weeks for the opening. Food/drinks: The food came out hot, fast, and delicious. I am vegetarian and got the tofu sandwich (highly recommend). I don’t drink beer typically but the Madtree beer hits different. My favorite is shade (it is like a sour). They also have special crafted cocktails on draft if you aren’t a beer person and I think like full bar options. The prices for drinks and food are very reasonable. I also love that they recycle and they also compost extra food, napkins, straws, and other things. Atmosphere: It was such a warm and welcoming space. The space is huge! They have a patio area (includes many tables, 4 fire pits, and a playscape in progress), a lounge area, a huge bar, and a traditional dining area. There are also 2 good size event spaces. It’s like a combination of Alcove and the Oakley taproom. Has a more casual, bar feel but also very great dining experience. There is also a kids play area inside with a real repurposed camper and many games for kids and adults both. I also love the living wall and ferns hanging around the space. It truly encapsulates the sustainability and community focus of the company. Accessibility: there is a calming room, universal changing station (in family restroom), sensory kits, all entrances are flat and wide, lots of wheelchair accessible seating (even at bar), and the outdoor playscape was designed by children in the disability community. In summary, you’ve got to see it for yourself to believe it!

Let me start by saying I’m coming from 23 years of bar back, service, bar management, and ownership experience. We were VERY amendable. I made a reservation in March, and we came in for Mother’s Day. I know Mother’s Day, on a Sunday, at a place like this will be BUSY. SO BUSY. We just wanted a place for our kids to play, with good food, and fun atmosphere. And it was all of those things. Our server, and I can’t express this enough, was wonderful. Our drinks and beverage service was great. Unfortunately, that’s where it ends. If you look at the pics from my reservation vs our table and the timestamps provided, from 11:45am to 2:52pm, we received our apps… and that’s it. I believe we orders at 12:30pm, +/-. Almost 3.5 hours without our food. After speaking to a manager, she said she’d help expedite and that she was so sorry. She brought out two small plates of fries. Then after another 45 mins, I spoke to a male manager who had just got there. Also empathetic, and said he’d help take care of it. As I’m waiting for either manager to “take care of it,” my cousins behind us received their entire order. Multiple pizzas and food for roughly 10 people… same as our table. Then we look around and notice EVERY SINGLE TABLE that arrived after us either had their food, OR HAD THEIR FOOD AND LEFT. I had kids and geriatrics, 2 of which have diabetes and were low blood sugar, desperate for food. Meanwhile I had to FIND managers to speak to, with no success. Finally I told our server we had 5 minutes left. 3:00pm was our cutoff. Of course, I went to the second manager, and told him we had to go. Both managers informed us they were plating our food at the expo position…. But were they? They said “it was almost ready” several times before. We HAD to get our kids and parents food for BREAKFAST (ended up being 4pm before they ate). As we stand to leave, what I assume was the GM offered my wife gift certificates to come back. The FIRST TIME we see her is when we’re leaving? My wife was rightfully frustrated they’d assume we’d ever want to come back; that was disrespectful. Speak to us at hour 1 or 2 or even 3… NOT when we are leaving. Completely missed the point. The kitchen sank, it happens. The day was awful, I’ve been there in my own bar. The server did his best, and I made sure to tip him. But the managers and kitchen dropped the ball. The only difference with our table than the tables around us was 1 we had zero of our ordered food after 3.5 hours, and 2 we had Spanish speakers and people of color. I’d HATE to think that we couldn’t get served bc a mixed race family came in. Was it, Parks and Rec? I’d love an explanation from an ops manager. I’d love to speak to anyone except the complacent general manager.

Friendly grand opening vibes from Jamie (PR), Lauren (Bar) and staff, very big open space and excited for this spring/summer to see the kids activity outdoors area (still being built :/ ), for the food I decided to try their steak and eggs "Cowboy Breakfeast", the steak was cooked to perfection at a Medium Rare, it did lack flavor, no mineral salt, no sauce or any type which made it taste just like a bland steak, eggs were bland (herbs didnt cut through (maybe not so fresh? But looked fresh)... a little salt here also out of gone along way, the hash balls were also good but same bland i feel like a special mad tree sauce would be a hit with this dish... over all experience 4/5, but i dont believe in negative reviews as a whole. Will be back when its warmer to check out their play area with my daughter.

Really great experience, very different from most breweries. This is really a casual American restaurant. It features full wait-staffed table service, a full food menu, and a very balanced beverage menu with standard beverages as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. This might throw off usual Oakley MadTree fans, because (a) they only have a standard set of 7 MT beers, no rotating taps and (b) the atmosphere is very different, more like a big, very bright and open restaurant rather than a brewpub or typically brewery. Service was friendly and very good. Food was actually quite good, kind of standard American sandwiches and such, but everything is freshly prepared, not prefab, and all of what we had was well done and tasty.

MadTree Parks & Rec in Blue Ash is a fantastic spot for a fun outing! The space is awesome, with a great atmosphere both indoors and out. The service is super efficient, so you won't be waiting long for your drinks or food. And speaking of drinks, MadTree's beers are always a hit - they have a great selection to choose from. What really sets this place apart is the family-friendly vibe. It's a perfect spot to bring the kids, with a fun play area where they can burn off some energy while you relax near the camper. Whether you're a beer enthusiast, a family looking for a good time, or just someone who appreciates a well-run establishment, MadTree Parks & Rec is definitely worth checking out!
