I would give zero rating if possible! I am staying in Blue Ash several weeks while my child recieves medical treatment at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital and after having a late lunch here 3 times I thought their food and service was great. I even recommended this place to several others who are here from out of town. I truly hope their experience was not comparable to what I had tonight. After a truly rough day with my baby's med stuff, I was exhausted and decided to order takeout from the firehouse grill rather than pizza or some other fast food option. I ordered the $30 ribeye medium rare with seasonal veggies and grilled asparagus for myself. I had already tried this at one of my dine-in lunch meals at this restaraunt and it was perfect. What I got tonight wasn't even edible! I received a cold paper thin piece of meat that was so dry and overcooked it was like sawdust, no veggies, and a few pieces of unseasoned boiled asparagus. I had to actually sit and wait when I arrived to pick up my meal and the hotel I am staying at is only 2 minutes at most from the restaraunt so the food wasn't cold because of how long it took me to get to my room with it. I immediately called the restaraunt and asked to speak to the manager. The girl who answered the phone informed me the manager was busy and couldn't be bothered then hung up on me. I immediately called back. She again said the manager was busy but at least offered to take a message this time. I told her my name and started explaining the problem to her. She hung up on me again! I called back again. By this time I was extremely irritated. When she answered the phone I started to give her my name and she cut me off and said the manager will call you later. I asked how did he plan to do that as she had not taken my number. She said it is on your order from before. I asked that my meal be recooked/replaced. She replied the manager will call you. It has now been over an hour and the manager still hasn't returned my call. I threw the inedible worthless garbage they served me in the garbage and ordered pizza. If you are into playing the odds and risking throwing a couple hundred dollars of your money away then I recommend eating here. If not, then avoid this place like the plague!!!! I will never spend another dime at this place and I will call corporate headquarters to file a...
Read moreExcellent spot for hosting a party!
This past weekend I held my dad's birthday celebration with 55 guests at Firehouse Grill and everything went great. We used the Sunset Room which has 3 walls of windows, so lots of natural light. (...but it was a little warm - if I have one suggestion it's to figure out how to get a little more AC in there late in the day.) But a very nice room nonetheless, and Firehouse allowed us to add decorations that we wanted and worked with us on the setup. We looked at the other 3 rooms and they were also very nice, had natural light, varied in size. They don't charge for the rental of the room itself, so that's a huge plus!
We chose the food from the group/party menu and had an open bar. Sarah, the group sales woman, was very accommodating and easy to work with. We made several changes to the standard buffet and appetizer menus and everything came out great. We even had a few things left over (but not much) for guests to take home. Overall the food was very good - no complaints from anyone.
The very best part was absolutely the staff we had during the party itself. We had 2 servers, Matt and Taylor, and I can't even say how impressed we were with them! They managed all guests quickly and efficiently, made sure the food came from the kitchen exactly when it should, and even handled a few off-the-menu orders for people with special needs. They were AMAZING! Seriously, I can't believe 2 people handled 55 guests without a hiccup. Incredible!
I would absolutely host another party or a business function at Firehouse, and I'd ask specifically for Matt and Taylor! Good food, excellent service, very reasonable prices on food and drinks, nice...
Read moreNestled in suburban Blue Ash, Firehouse Grill is a spacious restaurant offers a versatile dining experience with multiple private rooms, making it ideal for both intimate gatherings and larger events. The interior design has a fire house themes, offering comfortable dining in a pleasant ambiance for all patrons. A standout feature of this establishment is its outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying meals in the open air, along with ample parking, which is a significant convenience in this area.
The menu is predominantly sandwich-centric, providing a variety of options that cater to diverse tastes. The drinks selection is equally impressive, boasting an extensive range of beverages that can cater to any palate, from craft beers to classic cocktails. One culinary highlight is the guacamole, which is surprisingly flavorful and adds a refreshing twist to the appetizer offerings. However, not all menu items hit the mark. The chicken wings, unfortunately, fell short with their lack of seasoning, relying solely on the accompanying sauces for any semblance of flavor.
While the restaurant maintains a high standard of cleanliness and modern decor, the overall value proposition leaves something to be desired. The pricing is moderate, at best, which might not justify the inconsistent quality of the dishes. That said, the venue’s redeeming qualities, such as its clean environment, modern aesthetic, and variety of private dining options, make it a viable choice for certain occasions. If you're in the mood for a decent sandwich and a great drink selection in a comfortable setting, this restaurant could still be...
