We stopped at Tahona for lunch while visiting Summit park. It was the perfect lunch! We sat outside in there patio and enjoyed good food and drinks. My wife got a froze Margarita flight with Mango, strawberry and pineapple. She loved them all can couldn’t pick a favorite. I got a Spicy House Margarita on the rocks. I loved mine as well! Spicy but didn’t burn you either! For food we started with the Pineapple Mango Guacamole and salsa bar. The Gauc hit the spot for sure. The salsa bar has four salsas. A verde and then three reds, ranging from mild, medium and hot. We had the three reds and while they were good, the guac definitely stole the show. My wife got a Fish and Blackened Mahi Taco and said both were excellent. I got the Pork, Steak and Shrimp and really enjoyed all three as well. Between the two of us, we ordered half the tacos on the menu and couldn’t have been happier. I’m sure the other half are just as good. Finally the staff was super friendly with us and our dog! Everyone was so nice and friendly and provided great service! I couldn’t recommend some tacos and a nice cold margarita enough while enjoying a summer day on their patio!

Great stop after enjoying a walk around Summit park , love the decor and outside seating area. The only thing that would have made the food better is if the quac was made fresh by order, considering it was premade it was quite good. The chip strips were perfecty crisp and lightly salted. The chipotle salsa was well balanced and added to the quac it was just what I was craving. The Steak fajita taco was delicious, the cream sauce on it made for a delightful flavor combination. The chicken taco was very simple and likely perfect for those that enjoy basic chicken tacos, for me it needed a salsa, I added the chipotle. Definetly plan to return for a margharita some time soon.

We are from out of town and decided to bring our family to this place because of the good reviews and it was close to the park. It was a pretty slow afternoon but still not a lot of available indoor seating, that we had no choice but to eat outside. (It was really humid this day with an unrelenting, beaming sun, so that made all the kids really cranky).

After ordering I was carrying my 2 year old son in one arm and a big ole diaper bag in the other arm. I was opening the door to the outside patio and a server walking in watched me muscle the door open and rushed to walk in the door before me. It was a simple etiquette thing but kinda foreshadowed my whole experience with this particular lady.

It was pretty slow on the patio and i combined one of the tables to another group of tables to be able to fit my whole party. This seemed to have inconvenienced this particular server and she told me to “put it back after I was done.” I had no problem doing so but it was just her tone. Up until this point of our interactions I was still in a fairly neutral mood and was another paying customer

I was relieved to see another server deliver my food but she also did not make eye contact and dumped everyone’s food on the table with no pleasantries.

I will say that I am a little pickier with customer service because I am also a business owner and that service ruined my experience here. The way that server spoke to us was like we were at a dive bar or something which is not something I was wanting my family to experience

I had 3 tacos and they were great. If you’re craving TexMex and you settled on this place, I would highly recommend getting the food delivered from here and...

First and foremost, while I get the lunch counter setup and don't really have an issue with it, I don't like to tip before service. Tips are how a lot of servers live but its intent is merit based. If I left a fat tip and got poor service than what's the point? Second is that some of the food felt very inauthentic and uninspired in some things, and fantastically creative in others. I want my Mexican food seasoned and tacos were hit and miss on this front. Chicken taco was bland, but carnitas taco was seasoned very well. Mostly hit but the misses were glaring. I don't know if this is a "safe" choice made because of the suburban feel of this part of town (gaudy mcmansions within a stones throw), but season your stuff y'all! Margaritas, while good, are really over priced. A single beverage should not cost 13 bucks or more, but food prices were very reasonable. The self serve salsa is a bit gross, how many people sneezed or coughed on that stuff, no thanks, can you just bring it to me or have some sort of dispenser that isn't just a bowl set out on an end table? Staff was friendly, decor was on point, the vibe is there; this place is scratching at the door of being excellent and just can't get past the line, so unfortunately it falls into mediocrity. The most appealing spot in the weird little ticky-tacky living center/park/retail strip/restaurant collection thing they are in, but it's not saying much. I'm not opposed to traveling outside the city proper for a good meal, but this isn't worth the 25 minute car...
