思乡菜粿 Si Xiang Frozen Food Grocery — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

=Update Nov 2024= Shop has relocated, now a bigger place with seatings available. Lots of kuih, mihun, nasi lemak and even Chinese dessert soups. There’s also biscuits and cookies sold. Environment clean and hygienic. The green bean sweet potato soup is very nice, 煲得出沙，not overly sweet too.

Parking hard to find, store is clean and service is good. There is 4 flavours for the 菜糕 Chai Kueh, Yam, pumpkin, Turnip and Chives. Each RM1.10. It is made fresh, flavour is good! I like that there is dried shrimps added in the filling, and the filling are not overly salty. The skin is thin and chewy, it is not coated overly with oil. There is also biscuits and frozen food in the fridge for sale. However it is mostly for take away, no seats available...

this treasure store I save in my to go list for a long time and finally today I come to this store. the food is yummy and price is favourable. what’s more the boss is kind and warm-hearted like a long- time no see friend. Meanwhile lots of resident come here to buy 菜粿 during my lunch time so I think it lives up to its reputation. Don’t miss this treasure store if you want to enjoy something...

I've been loving their chai kuey since they open! Generous amount of filings with thin skin made to perfection. I always bought for my friends and colleagues. All of them love it so much and some even order frozen in bulk to bring back hometown. Best chai kuey ever!!! Btw they also sell many other stuff. Their tong sui is damn...
