Came here for dinner on Saturday night with 10 people. Food was good but tasted better Chinese food. Portions were big but the price is steep for a simple Chinese restaurant in the middle of Pandan Jaya (secluded). Spent approximately 2.5 hours here and the air conditioning was horrid! We were all sweating profusely and we highlighted this thrice to the owner and she said there’s nothing they can do. Appalling service. Wall fans were facing other areas and there was zilch ventilation. Pls be mindful that we are still experiencing a pandemic, there needs to be proper air ventilation in a closed indoor area! Less hits and more misses with the food. The signature charcoal tofu is nothing to shout about. The frying made the texture too spongy. Dong Po meat a bit too gelatinous. Enjoyed the fried calamari as the calamari is thick and fresh. Fuyong egg a tad overdone. Tea smoked chicken also didn't taste very balanced. Soya sauce prawns were big and fresh. Claypot catfish tasted earthy which was a, disappointment. Iberico pork ribs were a tad greasy. Free dessert of mini herbal jelly. The bill was a little over RM600, and we...
Read moreRead about this restaurant from Malay Mail and the food described in the write-up was interesting. It didn't disappoint when i came here with my staff for dinner this evening. I ordered their signature dishes👍 - claypot crab meehoon & 'black' tofu. Others were teochew steamed fish👌, 2 veggies👍, deep fried salted egg sotong (a bit overcooked so meat was tough), kam heong crabs (size 🤏), steamed ginger prawns (large size). Total paid is 750+ including beers. Lighting in the restaurant is warm lights so 👌 vs white lights in most chinese restaurants. Service is...
