AMBIENCE 5/5 Super cozy, somehow the limited seating provided gives you a very exclusive dining experience, i especially adore the decor of the interior, simple yet classy.
FOOD 5/5 I was never really into Percik dish until I tried it here. The hint of orange zest in the nasi minyak was uniquely brilliant! The chicken was perfect, it got the right amount of everything you would expect from a good Ayam Percik and most importantly it was super juicy and tender. I just wish the chicken was smeared with more of the percik sauce because seriously, it was damn delicious!! And to those who feel RM24 is expensive for percik meal, think again, you are eating in a proper restaurant with AC, with a server, expensive chinawares, hence the price is totally justified, plus the portion is really big, so no complaint here. The right word here is VALUE my friend!
SERVICE 4/5 The service is good. The server was friendly and attentive, our plates got cleared as we finished. I would have given it 5 star the food were served all at once, so that we can all enjoy the food while it was still hot.. Mine particularly arrived quite late, but at least the waiter came to apologize for the lateness and it was very much...
Read moreChe Minah is new and it seems that they invest a lot to bring a good ambient in the restaurant. All from deco, furniture, cutlery, background music, etc. I believe they spend a lot on branding too, looking at their logo, and the consistency of it on packaging, decos, etc.
They play Malay traditional music in the background (instrumental Ghazal, Zapin), perhaps to bring that Malay traditional Percik meals closer to the culture. Che
Minah also has some Western and Italian dishes too like pastas and burgers, with patties that they make themselves, which is tasty. And also their signature cinnabon.
As for the main Percik dishes, you have the options of normal white rice or nasi minyak, like you have at a Malay wedding ceremony. And as for the percik, the grilled chicken can be served with either the white percik gravy, or the red (yellowish) percik gravy. Either is good. I can't pick which is better for my taste.
Price-wise, it is a little bit on the high end, about 20-30 RM per dish, before drinks.
This is a nice restaurant, but perhaps a place I go on special family occasions, or when hosting special...
Read moreI tasted the Nasi Ayam Percik.. First n foremost the taste is so authentic as mum's cooking. The portion is big, dalca is nice, acar is spot on and don't forget the sambal... It's a killer... Ambiance is top notch. The owner must have really gone through a daunting task getting everything right.
As the first guest to the hotel... Prior to opening... I am blown away with the suite boutique 5 star 🌟 decor inside. Attention to details is jaw dropping results. Once experienced you will never forget. Che Minah is the fine dining. Tallhouse is the unwinding your day...
