I really wanted to like this place, but yesterday's visit left me pretty disappointed.

We ended up getting two dishes we never ordered, which was confusing. Yes we returned them and it was not billed.

Then our food came out at totally different times - some of us were already done eating while others were still waiting. By the time everyone got their food, half of it was already cold.

Honestly, for what we paid, the food just wasn't good. I hate saying that because I believe the staff is trying, but the taste was really off and definitely not worth the money.

The restaurant itself looks nice though - the atmosphere is actually good and comfortable.

This was my second time here. I came about 2 years ago and remember it being much better, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe they're having some tough times or changed something in the kitchen.

I really hope they can fix these issues because the place has potential. The vibe is there, they just need to work on getting orders right and making sure the food comes out hot and tasty.

I'm rooting for them to improve because I'd love to come back and have a better experience. Just can't recommend it right now with...

I’m not one who usually leave reviews willingly because I’m lazy (unless pressured by business owners) but CRANKY BEANS - let me tell you - CRANKY BEANS??? Soul food. Recipe from GOD. Finger licking good. Makes me wanna run a full length marathon because I just can’t contain the contentment and fulfillment I had by eating their food EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I’ve tried ordering on Grab Food, having it in store, and taking it to go, not less than 10 times, and EVERY SINGLE TIME MY FRIEND THEY JUST MANAGED TO HIT THE SPOT 😮‍💨💦

My recommendations: 💦 Mantao with mussels (tomyam/mussle sauce) 💦 Tom Yam Pasta (SO GOOD TO THE POINT WHERE I GET PHYSICALLY MAD) 💦 Cranky Spicy Pasta with grilled chicken 💦 Grilled Chicken/Lamb

I swear with my dignity that this is a 100% honest review. The day that this business is open is the day that I will be a returned customer. If they have one customer and one customer only, that would be me. If they have no customer then I would be DEAD.

Worth every single cent I make at my low paying job and I will work harder just to eat more...

I had been craving tomyum pasta for a long time but could never really find a good one in KL. While scrolling through TikTok, I came across this cafe and saw some reviews with photos that looked similar to my favourite tomyum pasta from Bulan Kafe. So I decided to give it a try.

It turned out to be almost as good as my favourite. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10. I really like that the tomyum pasta here uses a thick tomyum paste instead of a creamy base. It was spicy, flavourful, and everything blended well. This is exactly how tomyum pasta should be. I would definitely come back to try other pasta dishes.

I also tried the cappuccino and liked it a lot. It tasted quite similar to tiramisu, almost like a dessert drink.

The grilled chicken chop was well seasoned and tasted okay. Not amazing but still enjoyable. The price overall is reasonable.

The ambiance is cosy and quiet, which makes it a nice place to sit and relax. The only downside for me was the hygiene of the cutlery, which could be improved. I hope they take...

We decided to give Cranky Bean Cafe another try after their improvements, and I’m happy to say the food is definitely better now. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The pasta, though, was quite spicy—definitely not for kids, but i love it! Overall, a much-improved dining experience. It’s nice to see the changes they’ve made! --------------- My experience at Cranky Bean Cafe was quite disappointing. I ordered a caramel espresso frappe that turned out to be tasteless, and the fruit smoothies was far from being actual smoothies (thought it was going to be a smoothie but it was actually just juice and ice cubes). The fish & chip and spaghetti aglio were passable, but finding four mussel shells on the plate for the aglio with no mussel meat was a letdown. To make matters worse, we had to wait quite a long time because they were searching for the chef who was found sleeping on the floor above (the girl at the counter came to us and told us this 🤦🏻‍♀️) Overall, it was a rather frustrating dining experience.

Impromptu dine-in as the shop I wanted to go was no where to be found 😓🤣 We were greeted when we stepped into the shop + before leaving the shop. Since I came with my son for our early dinner + I didn't eat a lot, we shared Buttermilk Spaghetti + raspberry smoothie for our drink. Honestly, it was worth with the price paid! We really love the smoothie. The food presentation was nice! Rasa macam makan at hotel 🤩🤩🤩 Based on reviews, most of the customers recommended to try out their coffees. If God willing, will come here again + try out one of their coffees, even though I don't drink coffee. If you guys are living nearby, can order via Grab. If you guys opt for dine-in + don't carry lots of cash like me, can pay via e-wallet. Really love the ambience + its decorations. Even though I'm a 90's kid, I am entertained with the songs they were playing 🙈 Keep up with the good service, food + drinks quality. insyaAllah can survive lama 🤗
