The Blue Plates — Restaurant in Bandar Indera Mahkota

We ordered creamy thai tomyam prawn and mussels pasta, creamy thai tomyum mushroom pasta, tomato basil pasta, nasi pad kra pow, and blue plates bun. For drinks we ordered kopi kampung, passion fruit tea, apple juice and blueberry lemonade.

The food was great. The creamy thai tomyam sauce got nice flavour. The tomato basil sauce tasted great and does not taste like instant sauce. The sauce is definitely homemade. The Nasi pad kra pow also taste great. It got nice basil flavour and fish sauce taste. However, the pad kra pow us a bit dry, should have more gravy. The blue plates bun is delicious, just the portion is bit too small.

The drinks were just so-so. The passion fruit tea is ok, while the apple juice taste like apple juice brought from shopping mall. The blueberry lemonade is bland and tasteless, feels like drinking sparking water with hint of lemon and blue coloring. Their kopi kampung is great and delicious.

The interior of the shop is nice and beautiful. It is really aesthetic and instagrammable. Great place to date or hang out with friends. Overall, great cafe for hangout and upload to instagram. The food and drinks are just...

I visited this restaurant for dinner with my headmistress and colleagues to celebrate our victory in a robotics competition. However, our dining experience was disrupted midway through the meal. At around 8:05 p.m., a waiter politely informed us that our table had been reserved for 8:30 p.m. We requested permission to finish our meals, as we were nearly done. Shortly after, another staff member approached and asked us to move to a different table. We explained that we would finish by 8:15 p.m., but he insisted that we relocate immediately since the guests who had made the reservation had already arrived.

Feeling uncomfortable and with no other option, we moved to another table and continued our meal there. This situation was quite awkward, as other diners were watching, and it left a negative impression on what was supposed to be a pleasant celebration. I hope the management can review how table reservations are handled to ensure better customer experience...

Went to get dinner with my daughter this week. Excited to try due to the reviews online but was hugely let down.

Positives: Friendly wait staffs. We did have to try and get their attention even though place was quite empty

Negatives: Ordered the: Steak - requested for medium rare, but served as well done (thin slice so chef must have underestimated the cook time). The steak also had an odd taste to it, not rancid or anything but maybe it wasn’t of good quality. Salad was loaded with dressing and their tru blu mashed potato was so-so

Fish and chips - they used frozen fish which still had the frozen taste. Nachos was served instead of the traditional fries/chips

Decided to give them a chance with dessert but that was a letdown too. Creme brulee was so eggy……….

Cannot comment on drinks as we did not have any. Hope the management will look into these comments and improve the food. I’ll come and try the other...
