Welcome to the Dark … clears throat OtHer Side.
The bar is stealthily hidden behind an old school payphone which opens up to a quaint interior decorated with foliage all around, giving it a fantastical atmosphere straight out of fantasy fiction writing. It is a good place to just chill or hangout with friends and is a far cry from your typical bar which blasts maximum decibels of music that you can’t talk over. This place doesn’t have a lot tables so you might need to make reservations before hand.
The place doesn’t sell much food but does have your usual foods found at bars and several finger foods that typically goes well with alcohol. The butterbeer is one of their special items that is must try when visiting this place. It tastes like liquid Luc…. ummm….. *liquid popcorn which makes it a perfect drinkable dessert but can be too sweet for those who doesn’t have a sweet tooth.
The bar does not have a menu for cocktails, so don’t expect those mundane, run of the mill, mass produced cocktails that are available everywhere. Instead the customised cocktails they serve are tailor made to the preferences and specifics of each individual customer which makes this place a haven for people who knows their cocktails and expects a certain standard from mixologists akin to how James Bond orders drinks at bars. For those who are not alcohol savvy, the attendants are more than welcoming in giving recommendations of a perfect cocktail for you to enjoy the evening with. If you are concerned about the price, it is best to enquire beforehand but be warned that you can expect them to be somewhere in the Rm 30-60 range per glass.

Read moreHad a pleasure to speak with the owner of the bar Melanie. Super friendly and down to earth. Very well verse in all her drinks she put in the menu! And we love their Harry Potter themed drinks menu curated for Halloween specials. We ended up ordering 4 drinks that night. Their staff is also very warm - Michelle. Wonderful service and of course smile! For the second drinks my boyfriend got whisky with some mixture of herbs and also Melanie recommended the chrysanthemum highball ( fortified wine with gin& tonic). We also tried the red wine with some asam. Don't be shy to ask for any recommendations from them because you'd be suprise with what they can whipped up according to your personality and taste!
Do try their Harry Potter themed menu if you are still visiting...
Read morePros: Ambience is on point. My friend and I came around 7pm so it wasn’t too busy yet. Around 9pm onwards the crowd starts coming in. Staff is friendly and could recommend drinks based on what flavor profile you like. The drinks are amazing. All I can say is you’re drinking art. They’re both beautiful to look at and tasty. My friend and I each had 3 drinks each. Hands down one of the best drinks I’ve tasted so far.
Cons: Parking here is a challenge. And the price of the cocktails are comparable to KL high end bars (around RM40 ++ onwards per drink).
Overall, I still think it’s worth the price point, and I really enjoyed my time here. My wallet doesn’t allow me to come often but I think it’s a perfect...
