Ah Basri Asian Satay — Restaurant in George Town

It is a truly recommended place to drop by and savor all the varieties of foods provided in the menu!!!

Myself as a contractor was hired to carry out renovation tasks for his shop (bayan baru, juru, kajang) and production factory at (batu maung). I can proudly tell you guys that his satay tastes and qualities are still on the top of his class!!!

Apart from the great tastes of his foods, he can mix with any types of people around the world.

Not to mention that he is friendly, even their hygiene standards are perfectly controlled.

You will feel like you are eating in your own house, own dining table.

If you are looking for good satay at Penang, you really need to give Ah Basri a try. Do not let the higher than normal price scare you away. As example their chicken satay cost RM1.50 per stick and if you go nearby Mama Mida satay, which cost RM1 per stick, actually the size of satay from Ah Basri looks to be 2x the size of the other one.

So putting aside the price, the satay from Ah Basri is really really good. The meat is really tender and juicy and you can actually try many varieties of meat. Chicken, beef, rabbit, venison and probably many more. The satay sauce is also nice and it is more to the watery type instead of thick.

I will rate this as one of the better satays available around Penang with the only issue I have is their price. But it is worth it, do give it a try...

Always satisfied my craving when comes to barbeque food like satay... got variety of choices from red meat to sea animal.. Love the calamari satay much.. Yup, agreed that normal satay here priced quite steep, but looking to its choices of menu, i think it is quite value for money... Definately deserve a return again when comes to variety of satay.. Staff well trained and very professional.. place quite clean.. only drawback is the aircond... the atmosphere is a bit hot but still ok for me... Keep it up Ah Basri...
