Kim Seafood Restaurant in Sungai Ara has been a local favorite for over 20 years, and it’s easy to see why. The menu offers a great variety of Chinese-style dishes, and my personal favorites are the sizzling tofu and fried rice. The sizzling tofu comes hot with mushrooms and bits of dried salted fish for a savory kick, while the fried rice is loaded with prawns and pork, perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Portions are generous (enough for two), and our meal was only RM27, which is fantastic value for the quality. The service was quick, and we were served within minutes. The restaurant has plenty of seating, so there’s always space to dine comfortably. For spice lovers, you can request their sambal belacan for free, which adds the perfect spicy kick. With a satay stall and a kopitiam right next door and a convenient parking lot nearby, this spot offers great food, fast service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly...

Nothing seafood-y about the place. Food was rather so, so. Lacking the "wok hei" of most stir fry restaurants. Dishes were much more similar to home cooked meals prepared by an elder.

The waiter was nice enough to recommend us dishes suitable for our group. The owner for the drinks was just obnoxious. Pestering us to order quickly and lacking knowledge to whatever they were serving. Annoyingly rude as I can't even rinse my fingers with their tap and shooed me away towards the one toilet which isn't functioning.

Food prices are very much pricey, compared to the standard of food served. Nothing to keep you coming back longing for more.

Parking is just a disaster. With people constantly coming over to ask if you drove this certain car and...

Decent selection of dishes in this local 煮炒, would consider the price to be reasonable relative to the Penang standards. Though cheaper (RM 16 for 南乳炸肉, RM 9 for 清炒番薯叶), its portion isn't quite generous just like many other Penang restaurants. A young adult should be able to take in two dishes with a plate of rice. Overall standard is passable but would recommend slightly bigger portions of dishes (either that or my appetite was underestimated). Would be sure to come again to try more variety of dishes for this...
