Hidden Gem in the Neighborhood — Finally Tried DAN by TheAfterTaste HYK told me she’d take me to her favorite spot for toast. I never expected it to be DAN by TheAfterTaste @ Malim Jaya— Even more shocking? It’s been open over 2 years, and I’ve never stepped in despite living nearby. . Here’s what we had: 🍞 Korean Spicy Chicken Toast - Original (RM15.90) HYK's go-to. She ordered it just for me. Honestly, it wasn’t spicy at all—more sweet than anything. We couldn’t finish it since a bowl of noodles and drinks were already plenty for a tea break. Took it home for tomorrow breakfast. . 🍜 Korean Hangul Chicken Ramyun (RM19.90) A must-try, recommended by HYK’s friend. Springy noodles, egg, cabbage, chicken nuggets, and green onions—flavorful and well-balanced. One improvement: The cabbage was way too raw and fibrous—big chunks that were tough to chew. . 🥭 Mango Yoghurt Frappe (Less Sweet, RM14.90) No cream? No problem. Yoghurt was so thick, it clogged the straw. Luckily, the staff gave us extra ice and water to dilute it. After that, it hit the spot. . ☕ Spanish Iced Latte (RM11.90) Smooth, aromatic, and very enjoyable. . One thoughtful detail worth noting: They provided single-use gloves for customers enjoying toast — something quite rare in cafés. We were pleasantly surprised and truly delighted by the gesture. . Will we come again? Yes. There’s still a whole menu of desserts calling our name. Probably on a weekday or during quieter hours. . Will we recommend? Definitely. . . Why don't the staff tell - excuse me sir are you dining in or take away? For your information the shop is going to close at 9pm. It might be a bit rush to you all if you plan to dine in. Would you like to take away instead?
I heard those staffs said - dah nak tutup dah. Ni tak ada O.T pun.
The best part is that the Person In Charge still wanna put up some reasoning and excuses after I WhatsApp the case with photos and details.
Why don't just said SORRY. Just said - on behalf of company, we are very sorry for such inconvenient experience. Really sorry, please forgive us for such mistakes. We will improve in the future. And we really appreciate for this...
Read moreOrdered the soy garlic brioche burger, beef bulgogi sandwich and lemon poundcake. As i ordered takeout, i reached home about 30 minutes after my food was ready. Only to see that my soy garlic burger was FULL of oil. It was dripping of oil and the bottom bun wasn’t even a bun anymore, it was just a sponge for oil. The chicken was decent, but not worth the money. Especially since this is a rather pricey menu. As for the beef bulgogi sandwich, there was no bulgogi strips, just minced beef. So disappointing. And once again, DRIPPING in oil. Definitely not at all worth it. As for the lemon poundcake.. it tastes like typically cheap vanilla cake with melted lemon candy in the middle… not lived up to...
