森界茶铺 Meesiam & Toast (Bukit Indah) — Restaurant in Iskandar Puteri

Place: air-conditioned + fan restaurant that specialises in Meesiam + toast and other local delicacies such as nasi lemak and dark sauce noodles. Parking is difficult here due to the high congestion of traffic and food restaurants around the area.

Service: self order on top of a provided paper with pencil (not sure why this is done, as the previous overlapping orders by previous customers are still visible, just like a poor student doing primary school homework and erasing it over and over again). Food came really fast within 5 minutes of ordering.

Food: Meesiam with fried chicken: the flavour of tomyam was definitely there, with the sourness due to lime provided, the sambal on the side was on the slightly sweet + salty side with spicy level of 2.5/10 (10 being Nandos hot peri-peri sauce). The fried chicken was a bit confusing for me as it came covered in Thai chilli sauce which baffles me. Fried chicken was so so, and could tell that it was prepared way ahead and a but soggy. Mee siam and sambal I thought Mee siam is a best in universe but very big disappointed the taste. Why it's call Mee siam,Mee siam taste must have sour and spicy but their taste like heavy garlic oil and Mee siam serve in cold dish and sambal also cold from chiller.

Toast butter and kaya Toast serve in cold dish and no crispy. Feel like they toast bread and leave a side very long time and just serve.

Nasi lemak Nasi rice also very big disappointed.no taste of coconut santan and aroma of call nasi lemak taste.if Malay roadside delicious than this honestly. Anchovy hard not crispy taste.

Curry chicken I don't want to say anymore,no curry taste,no santan and just sweet.

Coffee Good but also cold,not enough hot.

Environment front is good but toilet Abit dirty.

I don’t get the good reviews…..Was so excited to try this place but was soooo disappointed. We had the mee siam, nasi lemak with chicken curry and Ipoh hor fun. Only the mee siam was decent (but honestly nothing to overly rave about) the nasi lemak rice was hard and not very lemak, chicken curry was sweet and watery not to mention a very pathetic serving. One of the worst we have tasted.The Ipoh Hor fun which was for my daughter took forever and it was again terribly sweet. I don’t get it?? The chef must really have a sweet tooth. The chrysanthemum tea didn’t taste like it at all, tasted more like sugar water with a tinge of chrysanthemum taste.
