I rarely give 1 star reviews. But if I can give 0 star here, I would.
I visited sushi King years ago. It was bad. But I always see queues previously. Didn't know was it just me or what. So I decided to give it another shot. My main gripe was the sushi rice. It was so coarse and dry. It almost tasted like short basmati rice. It was like that 10 years ago. It still is today. We visited this outlet at 11.30am and we were the first customers. Service was similar to their ipad - slow and buggy. It was almost impossible to order on their ipad as it lags so much. If its gonna be so laggy, then please revert back to human service. Human service was half past six. All the staff seemed so lazy and slack. Ordered soft shell crab handroll. We saw the soft shell crab being taken out from the kitchen to the sushi counter. It was left there for at least 15mins before someone did something to it.
The worst part has yet to come. A staff - probably the outlet manager - dropped a fork or spoon on the floor, picked it up and proceeded to dump it back into the container where they stored their utensils to make sushi. It's unimaginable what happens behind in the kitchen when such thing can happen in the open at the sushi counter.
Please save yourself from the horror and stay...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience during my recent visit. Upon arrival, I waited outside the premises as there was no staff to assist or greet me. After standing there for a while without any direction, I noticed an empty table and politely asked one of the female staff if I could sit there. Instead of a courteous response, another male staff member abruptly told me to wait outside in a very rude tone, loud enough for everyone around to hear. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional.
To make matters worse, some male staff members appeared uninterested and even sleepy while working in the chair, which reflects poorly on the service quality. A little kindness and basic customer service etiquette would go a long way. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training to their staff to ensure no other customers have to go through this kind...
Read moreDinnertime with most restaurants in Aeon here 80% full on a Sunday, it is only quarter full at Sushi here. Only 4-5 types sushi on conveyer belt. Udon noodles look sad with salty soup in small amount (see pic on right) compared to same dish at Sushi King Aeon Melaka (pic on hp). Hot lemon drink is not hot but lukewarm. Fresh made sushi tasted fine. Guess I will come here if I just want a quiet place to work/chat for long time over a light meal. But better to avoid if you are looking for high quality food for the price you are paying if eating a lot. Feel sad as standards seem to have drop over the years as we liked coming here long ago. Hope will improve with feedback- provide good quality food, reasonable price and better promotion. The current promotion for nasi lemak themed food is...
