Dining at 7 Spice Danga Bay in Johor is a delightful experience for anyone seeking authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. As you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Indian music playing softly in the background. To start your culinary journey, you decide to order the Fish Head Curry. The waiter brings out a large clay pot filled with a fragrant and rich curry sauce, containing tender fish head pieces simmered with an array of spices and herbs. The dish is accompanied by steamed basmati rice, allowing you to savor the flavorful curry with every bite. Next on your list is the Chicken Masala, a popular Indian dish known for its robust flavors. The tender chicken pieces are cooked in a thick tomato-based gravy, infused with aromatic spices. The dish is served with fluffy naan bread, perfect for soaking up the flavorful sauce. You also decide to try the Butter Chicken Masala, a creamy and indulgent dish. The succulent chicken is marinated in a mixture of spices, yogurt, and butter, then cooked in a velvety tomato and cream-based sauce. The combination of spices and creamy texture creates a truly delectable experience. To complement your main courses, you order two types of rice dishes. The Biryani Rice, a fragrant and flavorful rice dish cooked with aromatic spices, tender meat, and garnished with fried onions and cashews. The Ghee Rice, on the other hand, is a simple yet satisfying dish where the basmati rice is cooked in clarified butter, resulting in a rich and buttery flavor. For those who enjoy spicy dishes, the Chicken Vindaloo is a must-try. This fiery dish features tender chicken pieces cooked in a tangy and spicy gravy, made from a blend of vinegar, chili peppers, and spices. The robust flavors of the vindaloo sauce combined with succulent chicken create a memorable dining experience. As you reach the dessert section, you decide to end your meal on a sweet note. You opt for the Mango Kulfi, a popular Indian frozen dessert made from creamy mango puree and sweetened condensed milk. Its smooth and rich texture, coupled with the tropical sweetness of mango, provides a refreshing and satisfying finale to your meal. Lastly, you indulge in the Almond Kulfi, a traditional Indian dessert made with condensed milk, ground almonds, and cardamom. This creamy and nutty treat offers a delightful contrast to the previous mango flavor, showcasing the diverse range of flavors and textures in Indian cuisine. Overall, dining at 7 Spice Danga Bay in Johor offers a sensory journey through the vibrant and aromatic world of Indian cuisine. From the rich and flavorful curries to the fragrant rice dishes and indulgent desserts, each dish is crafted with care and precision, leaving you with a truly memorable dining experience.

A Mixed Experience at 7-Spice Restaurant: Clean Atmosphere, But Cold Main Dishes and Lackluster Masala Spice I recently had the opportunity to dine at 7-Spice Restaurant in JB, and while the overall atmosphere was clean and pleasant compared to some other indian restaurants, but my experience with the main dishes left much to be desired. On the positive side, the starters were truly impressive, showcasing the culinary skills of the kitchen. The moment I stepped into 7-Spice Restaurant, I was greeted by a clean and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's interior was well-maintained, with a modern and sophisticated ambiance that made for an enjoyable dining experience. The staff were attentive and courteous, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant. The special lassi was very refreshing and delicious for the start. The starters were a standout. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and a true testament to the culinary expertise of the kitchen However, despite the promising start, I was disappointed with the main dishes. Sadly, they were served cold, which greatly affected the overall taste and enjoyment of the meal. The lack of warmth in the dishes made it difficult to fully appreciate the flavors and textures that should have been present. It was a letdown, as I had expected the dishes to be served at an appropriate temperature. Biriyani one of the major main course of Indian cuisine, it was not upto a restaurant standard! Furthermore, while the restaurant claims to specialize in Indian cuisine, I found the masala spice in the dishes to be lacking in comparison to authentic Indian flavors. The masala spice failed to reach the standard one would expect from Indian dishes, leaving me underwhelmed. It is essential for a restaurant that claims to offer Indian cuisine to ensure that the spices used are authentic and well-balanced. Despite these shortcomings, The appetizers were a delightful introduction to the meal and left me hopeful for an equally satisfying main course. The tea we had at last was not bad tho. In conclusion, while 7-Spice Restaurant in JB offers a clean and inviting atmosphere, my experience with the main dishes was disappointing. The cold serving temperature and lackluster masala spice were significant drawbacks that affected the overall enjoyment of the meal. However, the impressive starters showcased the restaurant's potential. With improvements in the main course, 7-Spice Restaurant has the potential to provide a more satisfying dining experience.

We came down to 7 Spice and it was our first Indian meal in Johor. The staff were so friendly and the ambience was so wonderful! The decor was new and well maintained, so classy and suitable for any occasion! I was so impressed by the responsive staff and he even gave us some recommendations of the best sellers at 7 Spice! Their best seller chicken briyani was unfortunately sold out :( That being said their toilets are designer and very clean. You can dine here with a peace of mind! They served the dishes fairly quickly on a weekend and it was presented so well! We were given banana leaves and the individual dishes were rolled out in little pots. The tandoori chicken was tender and the coriander sauce complimented the poultry! It may be quite tiny as it was a quarter of a portion. But it was cooked well! We also ordered buttered rice (to share) and it was sooo aromatic, it went with the fish curry which had really fresh tilapia cuts. Tender! The curry was thick and full of flavour too. They had some yummy lady fingers in it! You shouldn’t miss the crowd favourite butter chicken! The chicken was really flavourful and tender! The Rohan josh mutton curry was not as pleasant as the meat was really tough. Hopefully staff can work on stewing the meat longer… The mango lassi was thick and sweet. They had some mango chunks in it and it was really a sweet treat to end the meal! They charge taxes and it’s on the pricey side given the premium feels. You should take note there aren’t any other establishments nearby if you’re looking for a drink or a cafe spot to chill after your meals. But it’s not a disappointing experience overall. They don’t have baby chairs if you’re bringing your little one!

My friends and I were excited about patronizing this restaurant since review from a friend had been good.

Once we settled down, the waiter attending to us introduced the menu , after which we placed our order.

We had ordered the spicy fish, which is a must try. It was the sambal version and it was simply shiok with its spiciness. Prawns, pepper chicken, lamb curry were also ordered. The food served was delicious. This is the most I can share abt the food since the experience we had was marred by the attitude and irksome behaviour of a particular waiter ( or was he a manager) whom we didn't manage to get the name of.

Even before our meals were served, the waiter who had attended to us earlier ,served us the tandoori platter which we did not order. When we explained to him very politely that we had not ordered it, he insisted we did. Very politely, we remarked that we knew clearly well we could not finish this platter since we had an array of dishes already. For a good two to three minutes, the platter lay on our table with the waiter shooting imposing looks at us. We were clueless as to what we shud do but we continued being polite and reminded we had not ordered the platter. Knowing that we weren't going to accept the food that we had not ordered, the waiter finally cleared the table. What took him so long to rectify the situation we totally had no inkling of. All we knew was that we could not relish the food that was served after that. Till the end, there was no apology made. While we could accept n understand that it could have been a mistake made, what we couldn't understand was the purpose of the imposing look which lasted for a gd few minutes and caused tension to pervade in the air

It would indeed have been a more pleasant experience if only the waiter had exhibited better demeanour. Moreover, it was our last stop after a tiring day. Leaving the restaurant with a heavy heart after what was supposed to be a hearty meal was totally...
