This traditional breakfast shop also offers plenty of local kuih and snacks. I wouldn’t really call it breakfast for me, as I only arrived around 10:30 a.m. By then, the place was completely empty — the breakfast rush had clearly passed. It’s such a photogenic spot, perfect for taking pictures and checking in. The place is filled with nostalgic touches — traditional toys, old clocks, and vintage furniture. Despite the blazing hot weather outside, it felt very comfortable inside. We picked out a few kuih ourselves, and I also ordered a plate of steamed bread. As a city kid, I didn’t quite understand the charm of the countryside until now — the steamed bread here is so thick! Nothing like the thin slices you find in the city. I ordered two pieces, but there’s no way I could finish them～

When we left and looked at the bill, we noticed the shop had charged us for an extra egg tart — probably because they thought we took another one to go, when in fact it was just the one we couldn’t...

This is the most terrible tasting roti bakar shop I’ve ever been. Ambience bad, shop dirty, staff unfriendly.

I didn’t know I have to order at the counter. We sat there for quite a while, and tried to call the waiter. Then only she told us we need to order at the counter and gave us a look

The nasi lemak was so dry and presentation looks so ugly

They serve margarine in the bread and their kaya was so watery. I prefer butter not margarine

This is probably the best coffee shop (aka kopitiam) in Yong Peng, a popular town for travellers to stop by, either coming from Johor Bahru or from Melaka.

The kopi, kopi-o are really good if you are used to the traditional type coffee. The toast are the signature as once you smell it, you won't resist to order.
