Pontian Rooftop Restaurant — Restaurant in Johor

Definitely a highlight if you're visiting the lovely place of Pontian.

Dinner buffet priced at RM 49 for adults, usual for most Malaysian buffet. I found the offering of food to be quite widely spread, definitely sufficient for a fair-sized buffet. Drinks included as well.

Meats were okay, I loved the beancurd items but that was just me. Seafood was okay as well.

For the broth we ordered pork broth and the tomato soup. Tomato soup was slightly diluted especially when soup was refilled but the pork broth was simply delicious. Very milky and a nice salty taste, I highly recommend that.

Also, it looks out of the shoreline so be prepared to catch a nice sunset if you're lucky.

Overall, I think its worthnthe price. A real nice vibe of a place and decent food. Would recommend coming down here if you're visiting for a day trip, could be...

The environment was OK. Food was OK. We ordered creamy chicken chop and fish chop. The staff was kind enough to offer us vegetables as we don't like fries.

Staff was not professional. We were given the wrong food, but the staff did not apologise. The staff simply removed the food without speaking a word when we alerted wrong food was served. We were asked to make payment because they were closing the cashier. However the staff did not state the amount payable and no receipt was given. Location - location and view are nice with their sea view at the 2rd floor of the building, only accessible with staircase

Service - Service was good and their staffs were very helpful and friendly, especially the guy who always approached us to offer us help.

Food - The food and the hotpot base are just average. We ordered tomato soup (with additional charges) which was tasteless and tomyam soup, which was using tomyam cube i guess, like the maggi mee soup.

Vege - they offered some vegetarian ball.

Price - I think the price is abit high for a small town...
