❌ RM11.00 FOR A TIN BEER ❌ 🤷If you're bringing an office team or clients to showoff you can afford a luxury food regardless of taste, you can come here. For the beer price, the shop guy justified "This is a makan place". Yes, and makan place comes with minum. Drinks are not odd to a restaurant to deliberately hype charges. 😐In short, Restoran Min Jia 铭家海鲜饭店 is way better than here. Try their nyonya asam there. Here, the supposedly-famous Ikan Asam Pedas is actually average in taste. Twas rather asam manis (sour+sweet) than asam pedas (sour+spicy). And served with only a slice of fish rather than enjoying a whole fish. Other options were fish head ONLY or fish tail ONLY. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑I appreciate the effort to build amicability, nevertheless pretty obvious they're not custom to see people of other types in their shop. I would substantiate this looking at a special menu given, with Chinese writings only.

Local friends recommended this place. Food was great! Service was good too! Price is definitely reasonable. I personally love the steam egg, I would totally just order the steam egg and with egg, that can settle my meal. And it’s only rm3 per plate! What else can you ask for? The crispy fish is also a must, fried til golden and crisp, you can’t stop once you started. The Asam broth for the steam fish is also a must have with your rice. I wanted to have the broth to go, so I can use it for my instant noodle. Everything was great! Please try it when you are in Kluang.

Old school style food. The Assam fish is unique in taste and the fish us fresh worth it. Ordered other food as well like otah, sotong, veggie. Good quality and the price is reasonable for Singaporean... In fact is value for money. Service is good.. air conditioned... Fast . Decor of restaurant is typical but clean. It's was not easy to find cos the sign board does not say gwee lek.

We had dinner as a group of 9 during our church retreat here. Beside the otak and crispy fish, I think the star on the menu is the ikan asam pedas with its balanced taste of asam, sweetness, saltiness and spiciness. It is comparable with a similar memorable dish I tried in Malacca. Prices are reasonable as they are not touristic and cater mainly to the pockets of locals. You can reach here by grab taxi from the city centre...
