Shoku-ya Sushi 寿司物语 — Restaurant in Johor

Looking at the recent negative reviews, I think they do not do this restaurant justice.

I find that the food is not too salty and perfect for me. Different from your other typical Japanese restaurants. Sushi was fresh as well, and the seaweed which covers the handrolls and sushi were all crispy and fresh. Of course the final quality of the food cannot be compared to top notch Japanese restaurants out there, but for a neighborhood joint, it's very decent for the taste vs quantity vs price.

Service was attentive. Family friendly as well. It was also pouring heavily, and the restaurant staff sheltered all of my family entourage one by one to my car so we all won't get wet. Free flow green tea was topped up consistently,...

The food quality was excellent across the board. Every dish I tried was fresh, skillfully prepared, and delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and pay great attention to detail in their cooking.

What really stood out was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. They made sure we had everything we needed and contributed greatly to a positive experience.

Great food experience... Shashimi set I have is fresh.. good presentation. The place was quiet on my visit as there were only 3 tables of customers when I arrived.

On the service side it can be improved.. the staff was attentive to refill our tea in the beginning but after a while we needed to look for the staff to refill our tea.. they should leave the pot of tea on our table if it's too troublesome for them to service.

If there are a lot of customers I understand... But it's only 2 tables of customers.

I might come again just because of the food but not for the...
