This place has very nice interior.
But the food was a little disappointing for us. Especially anything with chicken.
Mandi rice chicken and the meat came extremely dry. The rice was nice, but chicken was really out for us. I don’t know why we are given such a dry chicken part. Rating: -1/5
Chicken Shish Tawook Chicken cubes are very dry too. Rating: -1/5
Lamb Mandi This on the other hand, lamb is really nice. Soft tender and flavourful. Quite succulent. The soup is very nice too. Rating: 5/5
Pizza Dough is not crispy enough on the outside. Its a bit too chewy. The cheese is nice though. We have had much better ones before. Rating: 2.5/5
Hummus Dip This is chick peas mashed, a middle eastern dish. It misses some kick, not sure what it is… it tasted quite plain…. Not sure what is missing… Rating: 3/5
Baba Ganoush Dip Baba Ganoush is a classic Middle Eastern dip made from roasted or grilled eggplants. The eggplants are cooked until their flesh becomes soft and smoky, then mashed or blended with ingredients such as tahini (sesame seed paste), olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. I am just guessing this is what they used. The result is a creamy, flavorful dip with a slightly smoky taste from the roasted eggplants and is typically served with bread. Rating: 3.5/5
Dips’ bread The bread is not fluffy enough, it feels a bit dense. Then again, it could have just been our own personal preference and taste. It was bordering towards “not quite cooked” bread. It is sort of okay on the outside, but inside… isn’t our preference (let’s just put it that way). Rating: 2/5
Bottomline: what would I recommend? Lamb Mandi is the super star!
Maybe it was just our luck yesterday, our experience was really just mediocre. Only lamb was good. Everything else was not for us.
The waitress in the restaurant was helpful but she wouldn’t quite know how to recommend.
The cashier was a...

We had an amazing dining experience. We ordered a 3-course meal that truly impressed us.
First, the mushroom soup—it was incredibly creamy and smooth. The fragrance was delightful, and each spoonful was filled with tender mushroom bits, complemented by a wonderful herbal aroma. It was definitely a flavorful start to the meal.
Next, we had the signature Casbah mix rice, which comes with a generous portion and incredibly fluffy rice. The rice was infused with herbs that made every bite delicious. The dish came with both chicken and lamb, and I must say, the lamb was cooked perfectly—tender and well-seasoned, with hardly any of the usual strong lamb odor. However, while the chicken was seasoned well, the chicken breast was a bit dry, and I couldn’t finish it.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the lamb chop. The cooking technique was on point, with a slight crisp around the edges while the meat remained juicy and tender in the center. The seasoning was spot on—each bite was packed with flavor, making it a truly satisfying dish.
The restaurant itself has a charming, exotic atmosphere that transports you right into an Arabic or Turkish setting. The décor, furniture, and utensils all added to the authentic vibe. The bright, clean environment and the soothing traditional Arabic instrumental music really set the mood for the meal. It’s an ideal place for gatherings with friends or family, offering not only great food but a truly immersive dining experience.
Unfortunately, I was so full from the generous portions that I couldn’t try the famous Kunafah this time. However, it’s definitely on my list for the next visit.
Overall, Al Casbah offers a great dining experience with delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Turkish or...
Read moreWe rarely ever write negative reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. We sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to prevent this from happening again.
Like many others, we were drawn in by the enticing social media videos showcasing the delicious food and beautiful ambience. So we thought ..why not give it a try?
We crossed the border hungry, having intentionally saved our appetite to enjoy a good meal here.
Upon entering, we were impressed by the ambience and vibe deserve 5 stars. The interior decor was thoughtfully done and created a lovely atmosphere.
However, things started to go downhill from there. We were told that only cash payments were accepted as their system was down. While that’s manageable for us, it could be a major inconvenience for customers who rely solely on cashless payments. Finding an ATM nearby isn't always easy or possible.
When it came time to order, we faced even greater disappointment. Nearly everything we wanted wasn’t available. No chicken mandhi. No chicken pide. The waitress simply said, "Ayam habis." How could that be? It was a Saturday, the restaurant had just opened at 11am, and we were there by 1pm...plus, the place wasn't even full.
Would we return? Based on this...
