My first time here.
Food: Steam Chicken with Cordycep flower and chicken essence. Serve really hot, really taste, pouring chicken essence in front of you as what expected. Chicken is tender, tasty and delicious. Portion is good.
Goh Hiang Meat Roll Must try this! Even under deep fried, the meat is still very juicy, crispy and the filling is generous. This goes with their homemade green chillies sauce. Fresh and refreshing. Really tasty!
Appetiser: Guava with mandarin peels. This is good and bring up your appetite. If they serve this dish just a bit faster, the whole serving will be perfect! [We still eating while other food already on the table.]
White rice: They top the rice with some black and white sesame. Look great!
Tea: We tried their Chinese tea - long Jin cha.
Worth mentioning is the cutlery they used is pretty.
Environment: Clean, comfortable, new and beautifully renovated. Chinese restaurant with this price range - value for money spend.
Serving: Even its seem lacking of staff, yet they are really attentive, friendly, helpful and very hard working. Especially the young man, be really put his heart in while working. We had very good experience here. We didn't waited long for our food. Eventhough they are full house around 5pm.
They deserved 5 stars. They also have lot of good gift and beautiful pack gift set, ready to give as a gift to friends. Reasonable price. Certainly a good restaurant for me to dine in with family...
Read moresorry, it's a clearly overrated restaurant.
My recent visit to Super Tang JPO revealed some interesting contrasts between culinary expectations and execution. While the establishment shows potential in concept, there were several noticeable gaps that impacted the dining experience.
The flavor profiles across dishes suggested heavy reliance on pre-made sauces, creating a uniform "manufactured" taste that lacked the freshness and complexity one anticipates from artisanal cooking. During the meal, at least three persistent flies (who clearly hadn't read the "no extra guests" memo) added an unexpected interactive element to the ambiance - perhaps an opportunity for enhanced sanitation attention.
Most concerning was the complete disparity between the dish we ordered and what arrived at our table, bearing no resemblance to its menu description. When questioned, the staff's explanation regarding updated SOPs highlighted potential communication gaps between kitchen operations and customer-facing materials.
The owner's visible dedication to the venue suggests this might be transitional growing pains rather than intentional oversight. With refined execution of house-made elements, rigorous quality alignment between menu promises and delivered dishes, and tightened operational protocols, Super Tang could certainly evolve into the establishment...
Read moreI don’t get it how this place is highly rated, it’s misleading. By far the worst service I’ve had recently. We waited 40 minutes for our food after waiting 20 mins in the queue to be seated. The restaurant wasn’t even full that they can justify such an abhorrent service. Had to remind 3 different servers after 30 minutes and no food on our table that we were still waiting for our food. We just kept sipping and filling up on our lemonade. No one cares! And when the food did arrive, out of our 2 dishes ordered, only one arrived after 40 minutes! We had ordered mushroom pork rice and it was not fresh, the mushrooms were as dry snd wrinkled like the life had been suck out of them and we just ate it cos we were hungry and were running late. The other dish - sesame chicken rice hadn’t arrived and we asked the server to check and he said it will take another 2 mins. That turned into another 15 mins and frankly at this point we were done and asked them to cancel the order. But they weren’t willing to do that, so we asked to pack it up. We waited another 10 mins after that and only When we were at the payment counter they got it. All this time the staff was unapologetic or even acknowledged that it was an abhorrent long wait they made their customers go through and for such sub-par stale food....
