We arrived at SNH around 8.15pm on a calm Saturday (25.05.2025) night for a birthday celebration. Was warmly greeted and seated in less than 30 secs. We were given 4 sets of menu but only 1 menu have the Biryani offer. Luckily we looked into the menu and decided. We ordered 1 Bamboo Biryani, 2 Rib Eye and 1 Tenderloin.
Tenderloin is perfectly cooked and juice. But it is not the cut that normal people would call a tenderloin. But the taste is equally amazing.
Rib Eyes were amazing. Only that, the vege of the days are a bit of a letdown. But the meat were amazingly cooked.
Biryani is the winner of the night. Served in a bamboo and it couldnt been much nicer. The presentation was amazing, the aroma was deep and the rice looks tasty. Upon first sip, it just blew our tastebuds with its rich flavours. The curry, the vege, all are amazing. It was made to be eaten for 2 people, but due to its very good taste, my friend is able to finish off by himself. The lamb taste super good as well. All 4 of us kept tasting it and gave it a compliment on its own because the biryani can never go wrong.
Spicy Salad Thai is amazing but a little bit too spicy for our liking but it is worth a good try.
The ambiance of the restaurant is like stepping in to a spa with its melancholy music and very slow pace ambiance. Waiters are all very quick to do their job and food were served very quickly and in the right temperature. Miss Evonne (lady from Kedah) is very nice. She came to our table to make a small chat and asked us is everything okay. We passed the compliment of the food to her.
Highly recommend and I will definitely come again. Lamb Biryani and Rib Eye...
Read moreWe came to the hotel once previously but at the time it was recently pos-covid so the situation then was very different.
Our recent visit is a complete turnaround from our previous visit and we were very happy to see the hotel in a very lively condition.
Now, on to the restaurant - from the outside the decor is a bit dated but still lively. It’s a bit of a mishmash of many influences with a British pub-styled seating arrangement. We chose a table in a secluded area.
The resto has their normal menu and special menu. Since it was a birthday celebration, most of us went for steak and one of us chose the lamb briyani. We also shared the chili beef fries and thai mango salad. All of the food we ordered were fairly adequate portions and we actually struggled to finish everything - not because of taste - everything tasted great and fairly authentic and if there are any faults it would be only minor - such as “vege of the day” being frozen and I had the wrong cut of meat (making it difficult to cut) but its still moist and tender. The tiramisu cake was also amazing as it held its form even after being cut (yes they do have cake in their menu).
Staff service were good and the on duty manager (Evonne - sorry if I got your name wrong) spent a little time with us during service.
We would come back again for future...
Read moreHorrible resturant, we were 11 people and we had to wait for 3 hours till all the food came(it came to everyone, one by one), they don't cook a lot of the same food and give out portions to everyone who has the same order, instead Cook everyone's food one by one, even if its the same meal, for example, 2 people from our group ordered ribeye steak and they get each one at a big time interval, like 30-40 min intervals, when they could have made it at the same time and gave it out in portions, also the 2 steaks were ordered well done but they got it medium rare instead, we also had 4 children and they stayed hungry the whole time. After we finished eating, we checked the reviews and turns out they had bad reviews for a long time now and it still is, it's almost like the only reason the restaurant is still alive is because its in a hotel and people don't usually check reviews, this resturant deserves even less...
